The Presidents Security

Let's move!

As we walk into a room filled with boxes Kate turns and addresses her family, I'm off to the side of the room. "Now everyone picks a corner and start putting your boxes there and we'll get everything sorted out." She turns to me "Can you help me with Kane?" I nod and she hands me the sleeping baby and gets to work.

After 20 minutes of them sorting (slowly) I speak up. "I'm a lot stronger than I look and I can follow directions if you want I can help with the boxes so it gets done faster." Kate nods and runs off to another room and returns with a baby carrier.

I put him in and she points to the twins, I walk over to them and crouch down to their level "Which corner is yours?" the point to the far left corner and I walk to a pile of boxes ad skim the sides for their names I find 4 boxes of there's and pick them all up at once walk over to the twins side of the room and bend over placing the boxes on the ground.

I turn around and see Liam's eyes locked on my ass and his eyes snap to mine, a slight blush appears on his cheeks and he turns back to his stuff. after another 30 minutes, the boxes are sorted and we all go back to the oval and sit on the couches at this point it's 12:34 and Kate looks around to her family "Who's hungry?"

She askes and everyone sits up and Kate looks around and her eyes land on me in the corner of the room sitting "Scarlett do you know where the kitchen is?" I think for a minute "Umm..." she shakes her head.

"It's okay dear we'll find it. everyone ready?" she says walking over to collect the baby from his play pin, they nod and we head out of the oval and into the halls of the west wing we walk into the living quarters of the house and see boxes of boxes of things including furniture and bookshelves the twins start running around the room playing tag and ring-around-the-rosy.

Kate clears her through and the run to that side Kate gestures for them to come when she starts walking we walk into a fully stocked kitchen much to everyone's surprise.

"It's the only thing they did in here, to make sure you weren't stressing" I say out loud so they know that its okay to use kate nods and gets to work on lunch as Liam is handed a baby and the twins run off, and the president sits at the breakfast bar with a laptop.

Liam looks to the baby then to me "I'll go find a highchair" i say to Liam then look in Kate's direction "if it gets too smokie please don't open a window I'll go find a fan" She nods and looks to her husband "You stay sitting E your going to stress her out" she says as her husband starts to rise from the bar he looks in her direction nervously.

I turn and walk out of the room with a smile on my face, he may be the leader of the free world but that woman in there holds the reigns on him. I start scanning the room looking for a highchair I walk into where I was told the nursery would be and see one I pick it up and hallway back to the kitchen I hear a scream.

I drop the chair and run into the kitchen with my gun in front of me, my eyes scanning for trouble when all eyes turn to me and I mean ALL. I see the new VP and his wife standing in the kitchen with the entire first family. kate has her ars around the VPs life and POTUS walks up to me.

Quickly I holster my gun and he looks back at the scene. " It's alright just my wife being dramatic. this is my VP Sean Calhoun and his wife Cathey"

They smile "Hello sir, its nice to meet you,"I say and stick out my hand for him to shake "None of that" he replies "It's Sean"I nod and stick my hand out to his wife after a powerful shake with him, she takes my hand and shakes it back " I'm Scarlett Summers, I'm the POTUS bodyguard."

He nods and she smiles I turn and Liam looks at me, I'm confused for a moment then realization hits " I dropped it in the hall when your mom screamed, hang on ill go get it." He nods and I walk out of the room and return a few moments later chair in hand I place it down and walk to the farthest corner of the kitchen trying to remain a little professional.

A few minutes later Kate walks up to me and hands me a plate, I shake my head and she pushes it toward me "You all never eat I ignore it when its with guards who come and go, you, however, seem to be staying for awhile and when you are in my home protecting me and my husband and my family, you WILL eat when we eat or I will die trying, do you understand me, Scarlett."

I nod a small smile spreading across my face "Yes ma'am."

I nod my head and dig into a plate of chicken pasta. for the first time in a while oddly happy. when I took this job I never thought I would be in a place with the first family would be kind to me. an hour later the VP and his wife left and the family goes back to unboxing, we bring everything up and we start on the living room and the little girls start in their room, we finished lunch around 1:45 and started soon after now its 7:00 and we finished the living room, dining room and now I'm helping with Kane's bedroom, Kate turns to me "I think everyone's hungry I'll get Ethan and the girls and you get Liam?"

I nod in no pace to argue but she has phrased it as a question. I walk down the hallway and into Liam's room I knock and I hear a 'come in', I push open the door and see Liam standing by a book shelve he turns around and he's shirtless, I do a double take and see his abs and only 2 words come to mind holy shit.

I've seen plenty of shirtless men in my day but hot damn that's a body. he clears him through and I come back to reality and him with a shit-eating grin "That's 1" he says brushing past me

I quickly follow after him "1 what?" he looks stoops walking and flips around "1 freebee to check you out, WHENEVER I want. now I'm going to assume mom wants us for dinner so let's go eat, mom and dad have a big announcement, let's go."

I stand shell-shocked and slowly walk-in to and into the kitchen somehow I managed to close my mouth on the way. I go stand in the corner

for about 15 minutes, and then Kate walks up to me and tries to hand me a plate I open my mouth to try and dispute it when she gives me a scolding look, and I take the plate with a small smile and take a bite out of the pizza on the plate.

Kate sits down at the table and looks to the girls who are sitting across from her and to her right an with a smile on her face address them "We made you 3 a promise when your dad started to campaign." She says now also addressing Liam who's smiling like he's in on whatever is happening.

"The promise is won or lose we were going to buy a puppy for our family." she says excited and a smile spreads across her and her husbands face and Liam's the girls squeal "so after the girls your fathers meetings tomorrow we will go buy you 3 a puppy" she exclaims, so I guess we're buying a puppy tomorrow.
