#THE PROPOSAL #
A heavy rain was falling down and the streets of London were deserted. People were inside having a lovely time with their loved one as they shared a warm coffee.
And there was Jade Thrilwall. A girl who is looking at her girlfriend decorating cupcakes with a sweet pink meringue asking herself why on earth she didn't propose to her yet. She has everything set. Th speech, the ring, flowers. Everything is perfectly set yet she just can't do it.
There are many questions running through her head. Stupid ones, of course. Her relationship with Perrie has been amazing for the last past months. Of course, there were fights but nothing too serious. So she wonders why. Why is she so scared to take this huge step? Probably, she is afraid Perrie will reject her.
'Squirrel, should we invite your parents next week?' The blonde girl asked happily, decorating one cupcake with a glazed heart. ' We can also tell them about the new flat'
Jade sighs. 'Perrie, we discussed this already. We are not buying a new flat!'
The older girl stops his action after she hears the last words. ' Why are you doing this? I want a new flat. Stop being selfish'
The brunette laughed. This must stop. These stupid fights need to stop now. 'Am I selfish?'
Perrie nods her head, grabbing another cupcake.
'Great'
'We have to find a new flat'
'No' and that is when Jade starts to exasperate. Is she going to propose in the middle of a discussion? What the hell is this?
'Why?' Perrie sighs heavily as she takes her glasses off.
'We need to save money'
And Perrie did not expect that answer. Save money? Was she on drugs?
'What the hell are you saying? For what reason?'
It is the big moment. It is the moment that Jade has been waiting for. And so she prepares to say those magical words. But of course, Perrie would never listen.
'You know what? Don't tell me.' The blond stands up, and walks to the kitchen, taking the plate full of decorated muffins. ' We are getting a flat and it is decided.'
Jade curses internally as she grabs the box with the ring on it. Why is so difficult to propose for God sake? She starts to get anxious and hopeless. Today is the deadline. Today is the day when Perrie Edwards will be fiancé and future partner for life.
So, she clears her thoughts and turns on the radio. There weren't many songs to choose on this occasion. Ed Sheeran is an unquestionable choice.
The brunette pumps the volume and 'Perfect' starts playing.
In the other room, Perrie frowns after hearing the sweet melody. 'What the hell?'
Jade starts walking towards the kitchen. Nervous. Anxious. Her heart can't stop beating and her mind was full of memories of the girl who owns her heart. As she gets to the door, she sees a confused Perrie. She just smiles.
'Jade, what's going on?'
Jade doesn't answer. Instead, she starts singing the first lines along with the melody.
'I found a love for me, darling just dive right in, follow my lead... well, I found a girl beautiful and Sweet. I never knew you were the someone waiting for me...'
Perrie opens her eyes wide. 'Jade, what's happening? why are we listening to Ed?'
Jade stops and smiles at her. it is time. ' You asked me why we have to save money, right?'
'Yes' the older girl feels nervous. Something was odd.
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms .... barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song .... when you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath ....But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight
'A princess like you deserve a big and luxurious wedding.' Her smile got bigger after saying the last word. 'How am I suppose to give you that if we buy a new flat?'
And Perrie blinks and feels her heart beating super fat. 'What?'
I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets ... to carry love, to carry children of our own
Jade laughs because seeing her girlfriend's clueless face makes her feel lucky. She feels like she has won the lottery.
'Are you deaf or dumb, Edwards?'
'Hey!' Perrie bites her lower lip. ' If you're joking stop, okay? This is not a thing to joke around'
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms... barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
'Do you think I'm capable of joking about this?' Perrie laughs sarcastically. 'I'm serious, princess'
'Really?' the blond cutely pouts as she gets closer to her lover.
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms... barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song... I have faith in what I see
Jade takes two steps closer and she feels like she's heaven, looking at that beautiful angel in front of her.
'Perrie Edwards, will you marry me? ' Finally, the brunette says, kneeling down.
Now I know I have met an angel in person ... and she looks perfect
Perrie feels like she is living in one of the fairytales her mother used to read her at nights. Tears are about to fall and her heart seems to stop for a minute. 'Oh my God, Jade'
Jade smiles once again. She waits for the answer to come. Too anxious, too hopeful.
I don't deserve this ... you look perfect tonight
After what it seems longer minutes, the blond answers. And the rain stops falling as the sun starts appearing.
'Yes, squirrel, I will marry you'
