Hanna said that she had a dream that they could influence all weather, not just make wind somehow. This excited Sam because he had a suspicion he knew what the voice sounded like. After Hanna told Dallin and Sam that the voice was kind of a foggy voice, Sam said that the night before they moved he heard a misty voice tell him that he would have friends the next day. That prophecy came true, so they probably could influence all the weather.
It was Dallin's turn to have a visit from Mr. Mysteryvoice. Mr. Mysteryvoice told them that when they were a baby, a WeatherMaster chose them to be the next WeatherMasters. So they got zapped with lightning and got permanent staticky hair. They could also force lightning to strike anywhere. Sam had another dream from Mr. Mysteryvoice. Mr. Mysteryvoice showed Sam a map in his head on how to get to his lair. Hanna had a dream that they would face dangers such as people-changers, hightgoofers, and mind bogglers. He said that he himself was a Mind-Breaker, whatever those were.
“Let's find Mr. Mysteryvoice so he can teach us how to use our powers and how we can control them more,” Sam suggested to everyone. “First, the map said to go north until we see a tree stump big enough to put a small car on it.”
At home, Sam was having trouble convincing dad to let him go on a long, mysterious quest, as he put it.
“But dad..”
“I said no, and that won't change it!”
So that was the end of that argument. Time to try mom.
“Mom, can I go on a backpacking trip with my new friends, Dallin and Hannah?”
“Sorry, but maybe when you are older.”
“Pleseease? It will help me grow up to be a fun, experienced father.”
“Only if an adult goes with you.”
This proved a problem for Sam.
