Brent's POV

I woke up at about 10AM, only an hour to make myself presentable. I got up and went to the closet, and grabbed my clothes. Once I was dressed I did the usual hygiene things I do everyday. I went to the kitchen to grab my basket and make sure everything was in there. "What's this all for?" My sister Lexi asked me very curiously.

"None of your business"

"Your meeting a girl, aren't you?"

"What? Why would you think that?"

"Well, for one your wearing Dad's cologne."

"Maybe I want to smell nice today."

"That's not the reason. I went through your phone. Who's Ashlee?"

"I guess it's time to change my password."

"Brent's in love with Ashlee, Brent's in love wi-"

"Brent's in love with who?!" My mom just came in the door. She always comes into the room at the wrong time.

"Ashlee" My sister said in her bratty voice.

"Well honey, you can't be in love. Your only 16! Now do we need to have a talk about what true love is?" My mother is very good at giving me unneeded lectures.

"No, in fact I'm gonna be late. I'll be home before 6"

With that I walked out with my basket. I soon arrived at TacoBell, 11AM sharp.

I sat and waited for Ashlee for about 15 minutes until she arrived. She looked great. She was wearing a cherry red crop top that showed her stomach with a black mini skirt and flower flip-flops. Her long blonde hair was curled and she had make up on, and a long strapped white purse with a big M on it.

"Hey" she said to me with a smile. I looked at her one more time and smiled with a responded "Hey, you look great"

"Aww thank you, same about you. Sorry it took me so long, I can't drive yet."

"Thanks, and I didn't mind, but I thought you were 16."

"No, I'm 15.. I'll be 16 in September. Will that be a problem?"

"No no of course not. Ready to head to the park?"

"Yup!"

I opened the door for her, and showed her to my SUV. Becker jumped to the passenger window while Ashlee jumped in fear, then she started to giggle.

"Oh my gawd, I'm so sorry, this is Becker."

"Don't worry! I love animals!" Then she got in the passenger seat. When I got over to the other side of the car, I told Becker to sit and he obeyed. We started to drive and it was all quiet. I turned on the station and she started to hum to the music. Her humming became singing. She wasn't a bad singer, so I enjoyed the rest of the drive. When we got to the park I started to walk Becker.

"So what's your favorite color?" I asked her.

"Pink, what's yours?"

"Green."

"Like, the green of the trees or the green of frogs?"

"Both" She looked at me with a little bit of a chuckle and then she started to laugh.

"What?" I asked her, kind of curious.

"Nothing" was all she had to say.

It was quiet for a while. Then I asked something that had been bugging me all day.

"Is this a date?"

"What?"

"Is this a date. Like, what couples do?"
