Chapter Six.

Spencers POV:

"Ava adopted me." The words hit me hard and ate at my heart. I struggled to not absolutely break down. She adopted Stiles, and barely let in her own daughter. I'd thoughten she was just a cold person all around and that i shouldn't take it personally. After seeing him today with her, it all made sense. She loved him like a son, an actual son. I was nothing. "Spencer." He said, trying to sooth me. A tear rolled down my cheek. I ran, i ran down the stairs and out the house. I had no idea where i was going i just couldn't be with Ava. This wasn't Stiles fault, but i was just as mad at him as i was at Ava. I was out of town in nearly a minute. I stopped, looking behind me. What the hell, i had never been very atheletic, let alone a fast runner. I hated to run. This didn't make sense, there was no way i could've made it out of town this fast. I stood in the middle of an empty vast highway, dark woods on both sides. I looked down at my bare feet. I decided to let go the running part, maybe it had took me a while to get here, and i just didn't relize it. I heard music coming from the right side of the woods. I followed the sound, carefully stepping on the fallen leaves. I was fairly deep into the woods when i noticed a clearing. There was music, and laughter, you could here people clinking there drinks together. There stood the most modern house i'd ever seen. Picture it like the house from Twilight. My god, what was it doing here in the middle of the woods? I had hidden behind a tree so whomever was occupying the house would not notice me. I crept around the tree. Seeing if i would reconize any of the faces. I did. Nick, Courtney, Julie, Allison, Hannah, and two boys i didn't reconize. They sat around a fire, drinking from alcohol flasks. I learned farther from the tree, trying to get a glimpse of the setting. I leaned to far and fell flat on my face, hitting my face of a branch on the way down. I let out a whimper and Nick stood over me, he was there in an instant.

"Spencer?" He smiled. "What are you doing here?"

"Uh-i-wa-was-" I hesitated.

"Your bleeding..." His voice was filled with concern, but not concern for me. Concern for himself. I looked up and found Allison looking over me.

"I can help her." Allison grinned, looking nervously at Nick. "Get outta here nick." Her voice was stern. He ran back to the other group of people, and they were gone. She helped me up.

"Hit your head?"

"Yeah." I murmered.

"I'm going to collage next fall to become a Parametic."

"Your a senior?" I asked.

She hesitated. "No,just finsihing school early."

"Thats cool." I said, not really meaning it. She nodded and led me into the house. The house was even more amazing on the inside. She led to a kitchen which had redish brown counters with black tops. It was beautiful. She sat me on the counter near the sink and dabbed my head with a cloth.
