RALEIGH CARAWAY SET DOWN HER phone, and tried to stay positive. There were still people who loved her, and she still had her family-both her blood family, and the Riverdale family. Still, her mind raced, and was inhabited by the demons hidden by a username. She tried to act tough, and ignore it as a whole. But, there is only so much you can take, before it just becomes too much.
Words, and the shaming slurs were all she thought about. The hateful words that had so much power over her, Raleigh just couldn't help but let it take over her. She looked at herself in the mirror, and was ashamed at the person in front of her. Sure she may have been pretty in the outside, but Raleigh was sure she was the ugliest personal within. She had become a whore, a sleaze, a hoe, a slut, easy, and she just let people call her that.
A vibration came to her attention, and she had expected another hateful comment. She was relieved when instead, it was a single text message. A text message that brought a smile to her face, and she wiped away a stray tear.
Cody 💍💗
Hey, how are you? :)It was simple, yet it had so much power over her. Her heart filled with a warmth, and her stomach was filled with butterflies. She didn't know how she felt about the boy she met online, and she had yet to realize what those around her did. Between the texts, and the late night calls, Raleigh Caraway's stone cold heart had fallen in the hands of Cody Saintgnue.
Raleigh 😍
Fine, you?Raleigh typed the lie, and didn't mind the unsettling feeling of lying to him. It was an age old question, but how could you tell someone that you were hurting inside? It seemed simple, but she just couldn't say it. No matter how much she wanted to, she just couldn't.
She'd never let her guard down, and didn't know if she could.
