Beckett woke up before Drax and I. He was sitting out in the kitchen I woke up and let Drax out of the room, I looked around the room a little bit. I opened the closet doors, there was still clothes there. It looks like it was a couples room, but the womens side of the closet was way to big to fit me.

I walked out into the kitchen and  looked in the cupboards, "Good idea." Beckett stood up "I will go look in the bathroom for medical supplies you check the kitchen and living room." I told him. He nodded and I went to the bathroom. I opened the medicine cabinet, I found band-aids and some alcohol pads. I put everything that I found in the sink and went to look in the closet .

I grabbed a duffel bag, but I seen a metal box sitting on the top shelf. I grabbed it down and busted it open, it was an empty gun case. I looked around  to see if there was anything else that might be worth saving. I went back to the bathroom and put the supplies into the bag. I looked under the sink and found a couple bandages  and a bottle of cleaning alcohol.

I walked back to the room and grabbed my katana and bag I walked back out and set the duffel bag onto the table and Beckett started putting some food he found inside. I stood up and went to go look under the sink when Beckett turned fast and bumped into me, but he grabbed me before I fell. "Sorry." He said in an awkward way. I smiled "Its fine good  catch though."  I gathered my balance and he let go.

I went back to what I was going to do. I opened the doors to the sink and looked, there was cleaning supplies but nothing useful. I got up and went back to the table, Drax was just laying down like a normal dog. We heard a gun shot outside, all three of us jumped and instantly dropped to the ground.

"Gun shots? Which means that there are people around, we need to leave fast." He said, we both got up and I put my katana on my back and then my bag, Beckett grabbed the duffel bag and his knife and we went out the back door. We heard more gunshots we ran Drax a little ahead of us. "Those idiots are gonna attracted the dead." I said.

We had to stop to catch our breath. After we took a small break we walked, there was still gunshots going off in the distance. We kept walking until we found a car that hadnt been on fire in the past, we checked inside no keys. Luckily Beckett knew how to hot wire cars, so he did and it started there was about a little more than a quarter tank left. He drove first.

Drax took to Beckett almost as fast as he did me, which says something. I didnt get any bad vibes other than when we first met but other than that he seemed good. Drax fell asleep in the back seat, "Tell me about you and your brother." I told him. He sat there for a minute.

"Well my brother is 26 and I am 18 we grew up together until he went off to college. He was the only person I was ever talk to. Now he is gone and I am trying to find him. We made a plan that if we get separated to meet up at our old house in Nevada. " he said "He sounds great, I hope that we find him." I replied. "Thank you." he said. He seemed like a cool guy.

We drove for about an hour when we switched seats, "Your turn, what were you like?" he asked me, " I was happy, my parents were together they had me and then Sophie, we were four years apart. I was pretty much the same as I am now. Just alone." I told him. How old was she when she died?" I knew he would ask, " She was seven, on her way back from a birthday party around 9 pm when our car was t-boned by a drunk driver hitting our side, she was killed instantly my father and I hospitalized, I broke my arm and fractured my skull." I pulled my hair out of my face showing my scar.

"Im sorry that happened." he said. "Dont be im happy she doesn't have to go through this." I told him. It was true I wouldnt want my sister going through this. We drove in silence for a while. It was about two in the afternoon when we ran out of gas. We got out, I grabbed a water bottle out of my bag and drank some, I shared it with Beckett and Drax.

"So how old are you?" he asked me "I am almost seventeen." I told him, he looked surprised. "So you have lasted this long on your own? How did you do it? I mean i sure as hell couldnt." he said, I thought for a second," I just stayed away from people as much as possible. I did have a couple close calls but its okay now, then when you showed up I had no choice but to stick with you." I replied.

"Why did you stay I mean you really did have a choice you could have left when I was asleep, why did you stay?" he asked me "Im not entirely sure, I feel like I had to. Maybe its because  I know how much it sucks to loose a sibling."  I answered. "Well I really appreciate you helping me find Dax. He is all I have."

We talked about the things we hated about how the world used to be and the things we missed. "I hated how the girls seemed to fall for the guys who only wanted sex. Then saying that all guys were like that." Beckett said, " Okay that was the one thing that I pretty much hated the most about girls."  I said.

"You're not like most girls, I can tell." he said, "Yea I guess you can say that, I never really liked dating people the were too, how do you say it..." Beckett answered "Pushy."  I smiled, "Yea pushy. I just hate people like that. They dont know what personal space is." I added. We came up to a store that looked interesting, we decided to look inside.

I pulled out my blade and tapped on the window, Beckett killed the only dead that was inside. We went inside, there was furniture inside. "Should we stay here for the night?" I asked him, "I mean the sun is starting to set so I think that would be smart, we would have to use the table to block the door." He replied, we blocked the door. Drax took his spot on a chair that was perfect size for him.

There wasnt any rooms but there was beds, and couches and chairs. We picked which bed we wanted and settled down, I tossed Beckett a granola bar and gave one to Drax. There wasnt anymore, Beckett seen it and gave half to me, "You should eat too." He smiled slightly "Thank you" I said. he nodded.

When the sun was down and we could only see what the candle light showed we went to sleep.
