"No........" I whispered and ran out the class, tears now flowing out my eyes.
I knew I'd get in trouble for running out, later, but right now, I didn't care. I just wanted to get out of there and go some place secluded. I just need to be alone, right now and get my mind off things.
I run straight to the bathroom, run into the last stall, and just sit there, motionless, crying my eyes out.
What did I do to deserve this? How did it end up like this? I thought everything was going to be okay, and I thought he was different, but it turns out he's just like all the others.. I am so tired of always getting hurt. People always treat me like I'm nothing; like I don't need to be happy. These are the thoughts constantly running through my head and I just need a nap.
Then, I hear the door open and somebody knock on the door to my stall.
"Occupied!...."
"Rissa..?" I hear Mandy say, sympathetically. "Marissa, please open the door."
Slowly, I open the stall door and see her standing there, looking down at me with a hurt expression in her eyes. I could tell what was coming next, and I really needed it.
She comes closer to me and just hugs me. She held me close as I sit there weeping.
"Marissa, I know this is a lot to take in, especially after what happened this morning, but you need to realize that there are other guys out there. Dakota obviously isn't the one for you and he doesn't deserve you, or your tears, darling.", she whispered, "I know that right now, it feels like the end of the world. You feel as if he was your true love, but to be honest, Marissa, he's not. Youre only fifteen and there will be plenty other guys in your future. You just have to be patient." I shook my head and sniffled, as I took everything she was saying in. I am so lucky to have a friend like her.
"I know, Mandy. It just hurts so much, ya know. I thought he was different and I thought he really liked me. I just don't know what to think anymore....."
