Alysa

I stared worriedly at my litter sister as she gasped, a sheen of sweat glistening off of her skin as she grasped tightly onto the sheet covering her. Gritting my teeth when I saw that her body heat was burning the piece of cloth, I quickly ripped it off of her before sighing as I rubbed at my forehead.

"Wha da 'ell? Why is she 'eactin' like tis?"

Heaving another sigh when I, obviously, didn't get a response, I tightly clasped my hands together before leaning back in my seat as Silas made his presence known. "Is she still overheating?" The silver fox asked. "Aye. Do you have an idea as to what may have triggered this?" I questioned in a low tone. I raised an eyebrow when the fox didn't answer me right away, his head tilted to the side in thought as his tail swayed behind him in a leisurely pace.

"I think someone approached her earlier today."

My head jerked up at the information, a hand quickly lashing out towards the talking beast and grabbing onto him before he could slither away. "Wha'cha mean, ye tink? Who approached 'er Silas?" I darkly questioned. Not at all feeling threatened by my tone, the talking fox gazed at me with his white eyes in a thoughtful manner before letting out a huff. "I don't know. They had a strange smell to them. Almost like a demigod, but not quite" he informed. I froze at the description, Silas easily slipping out of my hold as he rested himself beside my sister's withering body.

It can't be him, can it? No...He disappeared years ago. He's most likely dead.

Forcing myself to relax, I gave Lesia one more worried glance before standing to my feet and making my way to her bedroom door. "Going somewhere?" Glancing back to the talking animal from over my shoulder, I simply raised an eyebrow at him in my silence before continuing my way out of her room as he let out a low chuckle. "Don't cause too much mayhem" I heard him call out before the door closed shut behind me. Rolling my eyes at how easy it was for the fox to read me, I silently made my way down to the family room before entering the kitchen to get me something to drink.

Getting me a glass and filling it up with water, I took me a small sip and looked up at the ceiling as I began to lose myself in my thoughts.

There's absolutely no way that he's still alive, Sia and I both saw him die with our own eyes... -But, he's also the only person with that specific smell. Unless, he has fam-

Feeling myself blink in realization, I unconsciously brought a thumb up to my lips and bit onto the tip of it roughly as my thoughts began to whirl.

Right, didn't he say that he had a twin sister? One that lived in this world? Maybe she had found- no...That's impossible. He said that he hasn't seen her since they were babies.

Groaning lightly as my head began to pound, I quickly finished off the rest of my water and placed the glass in the sink before making my way out of the kitchen. Just as I was about to enter into the family room, I quickly forced myself into a stop and looked up as I sensed that I was about to bump into someone.

Instantly my blank hazel eyes connected to surprised blue ones, a shocked expression filling my vision as one of the Asahina brothers looked down at me

Instantly my blank hazel eyes connected to surprised blue ones, a shocked expression filling my vision as one of the Asahina brothers looked down at me.

"Ah, pardon me. I wasn't expecting you to be awake at such a late hour."

Blinking at him slowly as he admitted this, I slowly tilted my head to the side as I studied him before letting a slight smile grace my lips. "Quiet a'right. I wasn't expecting you to be home until early in the morning" I proclaimed in a light tone. A smirk graced my lips as his jaw dropped slightly in surprise, my eyes twinkling with laughter as he quickly tried to compose himself. "A-are you one of our new sisters?" Nodding my head once, I took a quick look outside and then down at the watch on his wrist before glancing back up into his blue eyes as he continued to stare at me in a dazed manner.

"Excuse me, but I have a manner to attend to."

Bowing slightly after my apology, I gave the grown male one more glance before making my way out of the apartment complex. "Such an interestin' bein'..." Chuckling lightly under my breath, I felt my eyes brighten into their original color as I looked over to my left. Instantly I was greeted with the sight of a familiar face, turquoise-green eyes gazing at me in concern before glancing over to the building behind me.

"What are ye doin' 'ere Razi?"

Said male continued to gaze at the complex worriedly, his lips pursed tightly as his hands clenched tightly into fists beside him. "I sensed that something was...amiss with mea vita" He rumbled out. Blankly I stared at my old friend as he stood there, his shoulders sagging slightly in defeat as he began to rub at the beard on his jaw. Heaving a small sigh as I crossed my arms over my chest, I shook my head and gave the boy a small, amused smile before tilting my head down towards the street.

"Ye can come along as long as ye don'o cause any trouble."

Chuckling lightly as he face brightened up, I waited until he was standing right before me before making my way down the street with my arms shoved deeply into my pockets. "Did something happen to mea vita earlier today? I already know she doesn't react unless he's somehow involved" Razi bluntly stated as we walked amongst the shadows. I nodded my head in agreeance, my lips pursed tightly in annoyance as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Da p'oblem is t'ough is dat Silas didn'o see if it was 'im or not..." I informed softly. Razi grunted in response, causing an amused smirk to grace my lips as I spotted the jealous expression on his face. "Honestly! Why does he hold a special place in her heart...?! I heard him mutter under his breath. Patting the overgrown child on his back lightly, I frowned a bit slightly when my eyes suddenly flashed in their original color briefly. Glancing around us cautiously, I mentally debated if I should summon one of my beasts to my side before pausing and shaking my head when I realized it was who I was looking for.

"Come on out 'ere, Ya'i."

Raising an eyebrow amusedly at the devil hybrid as he tugged his hair back, I patiently crossed my arms over my chest and rolled my eyes up toward the night sky as Razi growled lowly under his breath. "'Ush Razi. He's notta bad guy" I stated while shooting said male a narrow eyed look. Shaking my head as he let out a small huff, I gave my attention back to Yari as he began playing with a pair of die.

Clearing my throat to grab his attention once more, I frowned in slight annoyance at my friend as he gave me a devious smirk

Clearing my throat to grab his attention once more, I frowned in slight annoyance at my friend as he gave me a devious smirk. "I need ya ta make some medicine for Lesia" I proclaimed in a serious tone. Cocking a hip out as he raised a fine eyebrow, I watched as he continuously tossed the die into the air with a thoughtful frown on his face. Just when I thought he wasn't going to take my order, I gave the devilish male a suspicious look as he gave me a wide grin. "....Sure, but I need a little something in return." Scowling at the tone he gave me, I continued to stare at the mysterious man in front of me as he suddenly shoved his die into his pocket before holding a hand out towards me with a crooked grin on his lips.

"Shall we?"
