secrets are unearthed

when I get out of the shower I throw on a white undershirt my old boyfriend's high school football jersey from before I died. with that, I put on a pair of skinny jeans with a few rips in them. I slide on my old vans and walk out of the bathroom and walk into my bedroom I put my hair up in a tight high ponytail.

I put on mascara and I was ready to go I walk downstairs with my bag and hug my little sister. she squirms under my touch. but soon gives up and hugs me back. I set at the table and wait for the bus. it was now 8:00 and I text Austin.

"Hey did I miss the bus?" I ask

"Nah, no school today its a snow day didn't you get the call from the school?"

"No. or maybe my mom did and didn't tell me. be right back," I reply.

I stand up from the table and walk to my parent's room. I open the door and see they were still sleeping I walk over to my mom and shake her shoulder until she is awake.

"Mom we don't have school today its a snow day," I say and she nods.

"Okay honey." she says and I smile "hey I'm going to run to the store and pick up some snacks can I have the keys?" I ask.

she points sleepily over to the keys that are sitting on her bedside table, I reach over and pick them up and put them in my pocket. I walk out of there room and into the kitchen. my sister walks into my mom and dads room to sleep in there bed with them. I throw on Austin's jacket and walk out of the house.

I walk to Nissan SUV and get inside of the SUV and crank it up. I call Austin and he answers.

"Hey, you wanna go to the store with me?" I ask him as soon as he answers.

"yeah, where are you? ill pick you up," he says

"no just come over to my house and get in the running car," I say and he laughs through the line.

"okay. I'll see you in a second," he says and ends the call.

I set in the warmness of the car as the snow falls on the window and I couldn't get the women out of my head. Her smile was terrifying and I know I have seen her before. I think for a minute longer before the door is opened on the passenger side and the cold air comes in chilling me to the bone. I look at who entered and see Austin. I put on my seatbelt and he doses the same. I back out of the drive and start to drive around looking for our local Walmart.

I don't see Walmart but I do see a small store that should satisfy my needs. I pull into a parking spot I stop the car and set in the car for another minute before we both got out into the freezing weather.

"holy shit balls!" Austin says as he walks the front.

I walk in the story and see the girl from geometry she had a cart filled with snacks and movies.

"we should hang out at your place after this." Austin said while I look at her.

There is something about her. her dark drown hair, her pale skin, the way looked, and her eyes. Her eyes were a light cloudy gray but they look fake. then it dons on me. The first week I was dead my eyes were the same color. I want to cry and laugh and scream all at the same time.

I have to be sure first so I had to do something. I get a buggy and walk away from Austin who was picking out movies and stand beside her. In the first week a new fledglings hearing is so good you could hear someone whistling from a mile away. I whisper so quite I can barley hear.

"I'm like you my name is Chloe. I am dead and walking to." I say and she looks at me.

"there are more like me." she said and I see her eyes watering.

"Oh my god you are!" I say and I couldn't help but hug her.

Austin walks up and looks at us. I look at him and smile at her.

"Austin. This is my cousin." I say and she smiles wide going along with it.

"hi Austin I'm Jasmin." she says and she wipes her wet eyes.

"Hey." he said smiling.

"here give me your number and we can talk and plain to hang out some time" I say and I hand her my phone.

"that sounds amazing." she said.

she typed in her number and then said she had to go. she walked out of the store and to her car. Austin is holding up 4 movies and a box of popcorn. I smile and laugh. we get a few more things before recheck out and ride back to my place. we walk inside laughing from a stupid Jake Austin made.

I walk him in and we sneak upstairs because I know my parents would be mad I brought him here. I walk into my room and take in him. I shut my door and lock it. The jacket I had on I strip out of it and take off the jersey. Austin takes off his Jacket and lays on my bed.

"im going to go make popcorn don't be to loud my parents would kill me if they knew you were here." I say and walk out into the hall.

I walk downstairs and make popcorn quickly and then run back up and go inside and lock my door. I lay down by Austin and he puts an arm around me. He already put the movie in and I watch it. it was a gory movie and it didn't phase me. I acted as though it did. when the man who was killing people showed up I put y face in Austins chest and he would hold me closer to him.
