Blaze sighed.

"Come here and I'll explain everything," he said then ruffled Jonah's hair, "Thanks Runner and later guys."

A vein bulged in Jonah's neck but he said nothing. Blaze lightly held my shoulders and steered me through the trap door and out of the room. We entered a corridor that had hardwood flooring and tan walls that gave the place a distinctly earthy feeling. As we moved through the corridor the few people who were outside piled into a room with a contrastingly red door and shut themselves inside. Some of them had called out to Blaze but he ignored them and instead lead me upstairs. We stopped at a large room that was roughly the size of my living room and kitchen put together. The colour scheme consisted of differing shades of blue that all were mixed and blended in a way that made me feel just a tad more soothed just standing here. There was a sky roof in the middle of the ceiling covered by a thin layer of glass and set of white metal ladders was built into the wall that lead up to the roof.. The room was sparse of furniture, the only item that was in the room was a huge king sized bed.

"Sit down," he said and I sat at the edge of the bed . He went for a small wooden chair that was by the beside and placed it in front of me. He sat astride the chair and looking at me with a blank expression.

"Le Ann," he said in almost a whisper as I stared into his bluish-silver eyes, "You're one of us."

"What?" I asked confused and he looked away from me.

"I'm sorry to say this but you have powers," he mumbled and looked away. He scratched his and looked away but I still didn't break my stare. He shot me an apologetic look.

"Hmm," I said as a spark flew from the surface of his skin to mine.

"I feel responsible for you because if it wasn't for maybe no one would even know."

"Where are my parents?" I asked miserably.

"They're safe," he said simply then continued his explanation. "My friend who they call Locator sensed a power when he was in your area. Everyone here was anxious because we wanted to get to you before the Heroes tried to brainwash you."

He took a deep breath. He seemed nervous.

"Go on!" I said impatiently tapping the chair.

"When we went there he couldn't sense anything. At first I thought it was a fluke but then I saw you. I just wanted to talk to you because you looked like you knew something but you freaked out. "

"You sounded like you wanted to kill me," I said. "I mean, seriously, you're a Rogue what was I supposed to think."

"I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking" he said running his hands through his hair. "It was awful. You were screaming and I thought you were electrocuted. I thought I had killed you. Your parents and your friend were crying. You were on the ground convulsing and then your h-heart stopped. When the Rogue first aid came everyone thought you had died. Your father almost strangled me."

"Really," I said but then I noticed some purplish marks on his necks. "Sorry?"

He raised his eyebrows.

"Yeah, and then we realised that your heart was still beating. It was extremely slow but existent." he said clearing his throat "but in the meantime your parents are at your aunt's house."

"I still don't understand anything, " I said flatly.

"What do you think your power is?" he asked studying my face intently as if testing to see whether I had gotten what he was hinting to me.
