Chapter 6

I opened my eyes to dim lightly coming from Ricky's phone in the seat in front of me, Jc was still driving happily but everyone else seemed to be sound asleep. I closed my eyes again and just listened to the soft hum of Jc's voice singing. His voice captivated me every time I heard it, it was absolutely beautiful and I suddenly felt the need to tell him. Just as I was about to open my mouth I heard Ricky speak, it was barely a whisper but I heard it perfectly. Of course he had to get in the way once again, who does this kid think he is? Jerry fucking Springer?

"Jc, can I talk to you?" His voice sounded sad and desperate causing Jc to abruptly stop singing.

"Of course, you know I'm always here for you." I heard Jc whisper back with a concerned tone.

"I don't know what to do about Jade"

Hold up, what? Did I just hear that right?

"What do you mean Rick?"

"It's just I can't stop thinking about her and it's driving me fucking insane" He started to say breathing in and out loudly. "I don't know which is worse the fact that she makes my skin crawl or that I just don't want to be away from her, it's like I can't stand to be apart from her" His voice was an angry hushed whisper now.

"Rick are you forgetting you brought Rose, your girlfriend you've been dating for four months away with us?"

"Of course I haven't Jc and I didn't ask to talk to you so you could lecture me, I asked so that you could give me helpful advice, I'm out of my league here."

"I know but I don't think anything I say will help because I like Jade, she's my girlfriend's best friend and she makes me laugh, the rest of the lads seem to like her too, I don't want you to fuck this up and drive her away"

"Thanks" Ricky spat under his breath.

"No you're missing the point here Rick, I don't mean anything against you I'm just saying your confused right now and the way you're probably behaving might already be driving her away, do you want to lose Rose? Because you will if you keep acting the way you're acting, like that little stunt you pulled earlier with Jade's middle name, you're lucky Kat saved your ass before Rose picked up on it, I'm not happy with what you're doing because I don't like cheater's but your my best friend Ricky, my brother and I'll support you through anything. If you're going to do this with Jade, do it right, stop being such a fucking jerk to her because I don't want to have to say goodbye to this one."

"Jc....." Ricky said trailing off.

"Yeah?"

"I've already kissed her"

"I know, I could already see that when you looked at her in the apartment earlier, it surprised me so much because you only just met her this morning, you've never done something like this before"

"I know and it's scaring me...if I've done this within the first day what's going to happen tomorrow? Or the next day? I'm scared Jc"

"I know but like I said I'm going to be here for you, until the end"

Are these boys fucking stupid? Anybody could be awake right now and be listening like I was. Douches.

"Thanks Jc, I love you man."

"I love you too Rick."

I snuggled closer to Kian and tried to drift off to sleep again but it was no use, everything Ricky had said to Jc was clouding my thoughts. What the fuck was he playing at? What did he mean? I prayed and hoped to god that it didn't mean he would keep trying, I just wanted him to give up, we'd only been playing at this game for less than twenty four hours and I was already exhausted. Keeping away from Ricky was one of the hardest things I've ever tried to do, it was like I was being pulled to something that I couldn't have. Pulled to something that didn't want me back, at least not for the right reasons.
