Sébastien sat at his dark brown oak wood desk. His brown hair out of place and red veins decorated his eyes.It was already past midnight but the young man could not seem to sleep. His home office was his safe house, where he goes to be by himself even if he had no office work. It has been more than a week since he last had a full 8 hours of sleep. But still in his sleep deprived state be was up and running like a man running a marathon.
He knew he would have go turn in sometime but not right now.
He flipped open his laptop and scrolled through his emails. No new ones were found but it was better than starring at the bookshelves that lined the walls of his office.
With a sigh he shut down the device and stood up.
"Better go to bed before I fall asleep in here. " he whispered to himself.
Considering all the times he fell asleep in here he knew it wasn't the best idea.
He staggered out his office and three floors down to his kitchen.
Sébastien owned a large house with four floors and a backyard that lead our into the woods. He had a Choi pond in his back yard and a water fountain that was one with the pond. He was one of the richest men in the country and working his way up to being the richest man on the continent.
Even with all the money he could ask for and the biggest house in the city, Sébastien still felt at a loss. Like he was missing something.
He made his way into the kitchen and went to the mini bar in the corner. After preparing a drink for himself , he sat at the island. The black marble counter top glistening in the white lights that hung from the ceiling.
His bare back hit the back rest of the stool. The cool hardened plastic soothing his heated skin. He sighed as he sipped on his scotch.
"Sir, if you do not mind me asking, is something bothering you." a low voice said from the entrance of the kitchen.
Sébastien turned around as looked at one of his servants, Jaxon.
"I don't mind at all, Jax." Sébastien answered truthfully. "But no, nothing his bothering me." Jaxon looked at his employer and long time friend, unconvinced.
"Why do I not belive you? With all do respect, sir." Jaxon was one of the few people who could read Sébastien like a book.
With a sigh, Sébastien looked at the older man. Something flashed in the billionaires eyes, something that Jaxon hasn't seen in a long time, longing.
Jaxon sighed and sat beside Sébastien. "Talk to me, son."
Jaxon switched from a loyal employee to to a supportive father in under a second.
"To tell you the truth, Jax, I don't even know what's bothering me." Sébastien sighed as he closed his eyes.
"Even in this big house with all the things I have and all the people that surround me, I still feel lonely. No offense." Sébastien quickly added. Jaxon smiled softly as the tough billinair became so vulnerable.
"Non taken. Even with all these people around us, a man can sometimes feel lonely without some one to call his own. Do me a favor, son, don't ever think that you will never find some one that will love you unconditionally. You are far from unworthy of love, son." Jaxon finished. "It might not be today or tomorrow, but you will find someone and when you do, you grab them with both hands and you never let them go. But make sure that she is the one that is willing to sacrifice everything for you and loves you as much as you love her. Do not make a hasty dicition, be patient, son. Good things come to those who wait."
