"Shhh. You'll wake up the others." Haven whispered to Amanda.

A giggle escaped the little girls chest. She cover her mouth with her hands as her innocent eyes twinkled with mischieve.

As promised, Haven woke Amanda up at the early hours so that the two can empty the cookies jar. Amanda could not have been more happy.

They shuffled to kitchen as silent as they could. A smile spread across Amanda's face when the kitchen came into view. Without thinking she let go of Havens hand and ran towards the kitchen.

"Amy." Haven hissed under her breath. "Quiet. We don't wanna get caught." Little Amanda nodded and mouthed a quick 'sorry'.

Haven made it to the kitchen and started searching for the cookie jar. She located it at the top shelf of the snack rack.

"Bingo." She whispered with a naughty smile. She leaned closer to the cupboard and stood on her toes. She stretched her arm out while gripping the counter top with the other for balance.

Her fingers touched the jar and she slowly pulled it closer. Before she could take it down, it fell off the edge. Haven screwed her eyes shut and waited for the crash of the glass jar. But it never came.

She slowly opened one eye and shut it quickly when she saw the curious face of Mr Ross before her.

She knew her Papa was a light sleeper, but she did not expect him to show up in the kitchen at this hour.

"Haven, sweety, open your eyes." Haven shook her head. Mr Ross cupped her chin and asked again.

She slowly peaked out of her left eye. She was shocked to see Mr Ross with a smile on his face.

"Care to explain?" Haven shook her head again. Mr Ross chuckled and nodded his head. "Get the glasses, I'll get the milk."He whispered.

Haven was more than shocked.

"What? You're not mad?" Mr Ross chuckled and shook his head.

"Great minds think alike." He confesses, tapping his temple.

Mr Ross could never get mad. Not even at himself. According to, getting mad is just a waste of time and energy.

Haven scurried to get the glasses. She picked Amanda up and placed her in a stool. She poured three glasses of milk and sat next to Amanda.

The each started off with one cookie and dunked it in their milk. It went on like this until there was only one cookie left. All three of them reach at it in sync.

Mr Ross playfully glared at the girls. And then he smirked.

"First one to finish their milk get the last cookie." The girls rushed to finish their milk. Amanda finished first and looked at the jar in hope. But it was empty.

She looked at Mr Ross and saw him stuffing the cookie in his mouth. "Hey, you cheated!" She said.

Mr Ross laughed with a mouth full of cookies. "It's not cheating if I wasn't playing." Mr Ross always played these types of games with the kids. And he loved every minute he spent with them.

Amanda smiled. "Sneaky grandpa." Mr Ross looked at her with a look of much hurt.

"You better run, little girl. Before the tickle monster get you!" He said, his voice growing louder to the end.

Amanda screamed and jumps down the chair before taking off into the hall.

Haven still had not finished her milk look at the hall as the laughing grew fainter. She smirked before pulling another cookie out from her pocket. She giggled and dunked it into her milk.

Looks like Papa wasn't the only one cheating.

Sébastien was ready, he couldn't wait to see her again. He was beyond excited.

Jaxon had brought his breakfast to the room and Sébastien turned to face his butler.

"How do I look?" he asked as he tucked at his matte black suit jacket, he smoothed his hands across the matching pants. His black dress shoes glistening in the light. His black tight was neatly placed over the white dress shirts.

"Dashing as ever, sir." Jaxon smiled at his boss.

"Thank you, Jax that means a lot."

"My pleasure, sir." Jaxon bowed slightly and excited the room.

Sébastien finished his pancakes and coffee. He ate two of the cookies on the plate before exiting the room.

He went downstairs and gathered his things. Sébastien stopped by the kitchen, "Jax, Dean will be here around six. Don't bother to let him in, he has his own key." Jaxon nodded.

"I'll be awaiting his presence. Have a good day, sir and I'll see you when you return." Sébastien chuckled at his butler before walking out the door.

Just as he was about to unlock his car, his phone rang.

He picked it up and answered without looking at the caller ID.

"Sébastien Heart, how may I help you?" It was like second nature for Sébastien to answer his phone in suck a formal yet friendly manner.

"Mr Heart, this is Mr Ross from the orphanage." The voice on the other end of the line said.

"Mr Ross, to what do I owe the pleasure." Sébastien smiled as he spoke to the elder man.

"I have a bit of a situation. I'm afraid my wife and I will not be able to attend the meeting." Mr Ross said sounding almost sad.

Sébastien's heart fell to his feet. He really was hoping to see his Sugar Plum, as he called her in his head, again.

"That is very bad, Mr Ross. Today is the only chance I have this week and the annual Funding Function is this Saturday." Sébastien said as he got into the car.

He put his things on the passenger seat as he held the phone between his ear and left shoulder.

"I know, that is why my wife and I have arranged that our daughter, Haven, take our place in this meeting instead. If that is all right with you." Mr Ross quickly added.

Sébastien's heart sped up at the sound of her name. A smile stretched across his face.

"It is more than all right, Mr Ross. It would be a pleasure." Sébastien tried to sound a little less excited but he failed miserably.

"Ah, thank you so much for agreeing. She will he waiting for you in the garden. The door will be open and my wife and I will be gone by the time you arrive."

"I'll see to it that I'm there around ten. Good bye, Mr Ross."

"Thank you again, Mr Heart. You are a kind man." Sébastien could hear the smile in the old man's voice.

"The pleasure is all mine. Have a good day, Mr Ross."

Sébastien hung up and couldn't stop smiling. For a moment he thought he would not be seeing his Sugar Plum, but yet again, faith seemed to be playing the right cards in order for Sébastien to win.

"It looks like the odds are in your favor yet again, Sébastien." The billionaire said to himself as he looked in the mirror.

Now all he had to do was wait for the clock to strike ten, and his happy hour would begin.
