That day, Marie still won't show up to class. I was uncomfortable to have lunch with you guys like other days. So, I chose to eat alone in the cafeteria.I chose a table by the window so I could peek at the sky. One day wouldn't pass without me indulging myself in the beauty of the blue sky. The rest of the world would stop and all the noises would be muted instantly.
I was painfully eating my very healthy salads when I heard some girls laughing their heart out from the table behind me. I glanced at them.
Four very pretty girls in high-ends fashion outfit, one with Dolce and Gabbana shades tucked in her blonde hair, the other with super sparkly and dangly earrings, one with matte red lips with a smile that should be featured in toothpaste ads and the last one, stunned me with her green eyes. Yes, green!
Lucky bastards for able to eat that unhealthy oily food with their manicured hands while enjoying the life out of them while I had to suffer with greens because of my recovering condition. The worst part is, they still looked good???
Life is not fair.
Speaking of recovery, I haven't talked to you since I got back. I never got to be near to you. I wondered how my heart was doing. While eating my baby tomatoes and winced at the taste of it, I checked my beats on my tracker. Barely any apparent beat, but as long as the tracker didn't beep, no lights flashing out and I was sitting strong, I was fine.
I looked around for a sign of you. But to no avail. I wondered where you and the rest had lunch.
I still can't believe you guys would do that to Marie. I would love to talk to any of you and asked for another side of the story but I couldn't bring myself to. Maybe what I heard in the lecture hall when you guys were laughing at Marie behind her back was painful enough. And that showed me enough.
I checked my phone. I made an appointment to meet the head of department today to discuss further about this issue. I talked to Grace about finding more statements from other classes and asked another professor to support us. I guess we should be fine with the report.
Marie started the fight. I wasn't gonna let her walk away from it. Even if we were not going to win this fight, we should at least fight this till the end.
I was thankful that Grace was willing to help me. I didn't know who else to trust. Considering I only talked to Marie, Grace and you in our class and I obviously couldn't trust you, Grace was all I had left.
Plus, this news could get to Natasha's ears, the queen of snitch which later would inform Mrs. Lois and that was the last thing we needed. I had to be very careful and tip toe around. Anyone could snitch us to Natasha and Mrs Lois including Grace but she helped Marie since the beginning. I trusted Grace and really hoped she wasn't going to do so.
"Oh yea, girls! Did you heard about the girl who fainted the other day?" one of the girls I saw earlier caught my attention.
My hearing sensed the girl with dangly earrings spoke something familiar. I started eavesdropping. I was curious if they were talking about me.
"Ooooooohh, yea I heard of it. I think I might have a video of it, wait let me find it." Another girl added. She was the one with green eyes. She took out her phone and browsed through it.
I gasped. 'A VIDEO!???', I thought to myself.
"I was there!!! It was near the library. Oh dear, it must be soooo embarrassing to drop dead ugly in public like that. That area is the main path, everyone saw it. I would've asked for a transfer if I were her."
I frowned at the blonde's reaction. Drop dead ugly. Lol okay. So, she mentioned library, definitely me.
Girl with green eyes got excited. "Okay, okay! I got it! Here's the video!"
