"she um. sorry, i- she died three years ago. her kidney's failed and. . yeah. i just- i don't know. i wish my dad would've told me, and not his ex lover that i thought was my mom. i got so excited because i thought i'd finally have a mom in my life that would accept me. now i know she's dead and i want to be sad, but i didn't even know her."
"i'm so sorry, tae. you can still be sad, you know? even if you didn't know her that well, she'd be proud to know that she has a wonderful son who's coming into himself and turning out to be an amazing person. she may not be here, but you can turn to those around you that care about and love you and support you. and that's the truth."
