Joey's Surprise and the memory of the summer of 2013

When everyone got back to the house everyone waited in the living room for Joey and Katy. "Katy, I know that you know that I want what's best for you. I will always want everything to be perfect and if it's not I'm always gonna wanna make it better. So, I need you to think, back to the summer of 2013. The last time you saw her I know it's gonna hurt but I need you to. Only if you trust me." "I trust you more than anyone in my life joey. Well, almost." "I know. Now, just think back to the summer of 2013." "Okay." Katy starts to think back to the summer of 2013. She sits there and re-thinks the whole summer very slowly making sure not to miss anything. When she was done she opened her eyes and realized what Joey was saying. Joey was breaking up with her but it was because he knew that she loved him, but she loved someone else more. "I will always love you Joey. I'm sorry I didn't realize this needed to happen earlier." "It's okay love. You didn't know and neither did I." They smiled at each other. "Do you wanna go back together?" "Yea. I think it's time Joey." "Me too Katybug." Katy and Joey hold hands and go back to the summer of 2013.

(Summer 2013)

It was a hot sunny day and Katy was with her friends. There was Katy, Aidan, Joey, Tovin, Teya, Christa, Dylan, Mali, Gregg, Thia, Albert, and Emily. They were all getting ready to leave Katy's house. It was only 8 am and they all walked out the door. They were going to Meadowood Mall, Chucky Cheese, Easy Air, to dinner, and to go see a movie. Katy's mom trusted them and knew that since they were hybrids they could take care of themselves but still said to call her if anything went wrong. Before they went to the mall they went to go see Katy's dad. She said hi and gave him a present for his birthday and left. Paul, Nina, Ian, Kat, Joseph, and Candice all came. Katy and Emily were always really close, but this summer they got even closer. On the way to the mall Emily and Katy were sitting together. Katy was looking at a picture her step sister Ary had made her. "Hey Katy what's that?" Emily asked. "Oh it's a picture Ary made for me." Katy replied. "Can I see it?" "Yea of course here." Emily looked at the picture and was memorized. The picture was of her and Katy when they were 4. "Did you ask Ary to draw this?" "Yea I really liked this picture and I knew Ary could draw really well so I asked if she would draw it for me, and here it is." "Damn she's really good." "Yea I think so too." "What's that other picture in your hand?" "Oh it's just a picture I drew nothing important." "Oh. Does that mean I can't see it?" "Not yet. I'm not done. But you will be the first to see when it is done." "Cool. Thx Katybug." Katy smiled at Emily and she smiled back. They got to the mall at about 9:30 and stayed till 12:30 after having lunch at the food court. Then they went to Chucky Cheese from 1:00 till 3:00. After Chucky Cheese they went to Easy Air from 3:30 till 9:00. While they were at Easy Air, they played laser tag, dodgeball, and jumped on all of the trampolines. Everyone split up while they were there and Katy and Emily were paired together. "What do you wanna do first Katybug?" "Um...oh LAZER TAG" Emily laughed. "Alright to lazer tag we go." Emily and Katy played 13 rounds of lazer tag each time on the same team. When they were done with lazer tag they went to trampoline dodge ball. They played 3 rounds of dodge ball and then went to the other trampolines. While they were there, Emily taught Katy to jump off the wall, do a back flip, do a front flip, and then do a front hand spring. "Alright I'll go grab the others so you can show them." "Alright I'll be right here." Emily ran off to go get the others. When she got back, Paul video tapped Katy and Emily's trick and posted it on her youtube with a caption of "Emily taught me a new trick today." Afterward, they left to Olive Garden to get something to eat. Then they went back to the mall till their movie started at midnight. They were watching The Notebook.(I know this came out before then but I didn't see it till around the time in the story.) Emily asked if she could sit next to Katy so she said yea of course. During the movie Emily's hand kept brushing Katy's and she would look at her sometimes throughout the movie. Emily and Katy both liked each other but neither of them new the other liked them. At least not yet.

(On the way home from the movie)

Before Everyone got in the car to go home everyone had a bathroom break. Emily ran out of the bathroom to find Katy. "Katy." Katy turned around looked at Emily. "Yea Emily?" "I need to tell you something." "You can tell me anything." "I know I can, I'm just scared of how you're gonna react. But, here it goes. Katy I like you. Right now I could even say I'm in love with you. I know I'm only 9 and I haven't turned 18 yet or how ever old you have to be, but I still love you. I have for as long as I could remember, but I never had the guts to tell you." Katy looked up and smiled at her. "I love you too Emmy, I always have and I always will." "So, do you wanna be my girlfriend?" "Yea I do." Emily and Katy walked out of the theater hand in hand to the car.

At the end of the summer Emily found out she was moving back to Ireland where the group was all born. "I don't want you to go Emmy." Katy said crying. "I don't want to either babygirl, but I have no choice." Emmy said crying too. "I know." When the day finally came for Emily to go back home everyone was in tears, but no one was crying as hard as Katy. "I will come back to see you babygirl. I promise. I don't know when but I will." Emily told Katy. "You promise?" Katy said. "I promise." "K." "Hey, I love you and I'm never gonna leave you." "I know. I'm just scared that you won't be allowed to come back." "I don't care if I'm allowed to or not I will come back for you. I love you Katy." "I love you Emily." Albert started to walk to his car when Katy remembered something. "EMILY WAIT!" Katy yelled. Emily turned around and Katy ran over to her. "Here. This is the picture I was drawing at the beginning of the summer." Emily unfolded the picture and looked at it. She was at loss for words. The setting was in Ireland with Emily and Katy in the middle hugging when they were 4. "I-I-I don't know what to say. Thank you Katybug." Emily hugged Katy until her mom said they had to go. Emily and Katy said there last goodbyes for the next 5 years.

(Present Day)

Joey and Katy let each others hands go. Joey smiles at Katy and she smiles back. "Now that that's over are you ready for your surprise?" "Yea I'm ready Joey." "Okay lets go." Joey and Katy walk back downstairs. "Paul, Katy and I are back." "Hey guys. Are you okay Katybug?" "Yea I'm good Paul." "Hey I know it may hurt that you and Joey are over but he did it for a good reason I promise you." "I know. I trust him." "Alright, Joey grab the blindfold and lets take her outside." Paul said. Joey grabbed the blindfold and led Katy outside to her surprise. "Alright, you can take the blindfold off Katy." Joey said. Katy took off the blindfold and couldn't believe her eyes.
