As I peeled my head around to browse my selected area. Nothing seemed appealing to me enough to notice where this snapping sound had came from. I peeled my sneakers out of the chilling sinking mud and began once more walking onwards on my trail.

The wind lightly shook and blew my straight brunette hair back. I get the goosebumps like never before. My skin flared up in bumps as my leg hair begins to grow back fast as lightning. As I reach my destination, I see my humble beach unharmed and in perfect order for I to lay in the damp sand. I watch as the creek flow downstream onwards to its destination. I hop down from the medium sized bank and sink my somewhat tiny feet into the cold sand. I walk not much further and sit down. I gaze hazely across the creek and let my mind wonder. I feel at home and peace within my body. It was nice to finally escape from all the terror that had been striking throughout my entire week. The terror concluded of my closet aunt passing away at the age of fifty-one. She was the closest family member to me that was outside my mother and father. I was alone child growing up, and since she always wanted a daughter she spoiled me like no other. It was hard to handle when she died, but rather odd the way she did. She didn't die from a car crash or any illness, except she was murdered by something ‘unknown’. I had always feared the unknown, but I was always traveling the forest which never made much sense. But I let those memories out in flooded tears and continue to look beyond the creek.

My eyesight and thoughts were rudely interrupted by something shaking the tall grass that laid on the other side of the creek. I couldn't help but wonder what this might be. I gradually crept up, hoping that what ever is in the grass flees away. Nothing. The grass barely slowly began to stop moving. I pick up my silver lightly blue toned flip flops and place them tightly in my grip of my left hand as I dip my feet into the startling water. I pace myself across the creek as the water dips up to my knees, but then back down after I make it out of the frigid water. I throw myself over top of the slight hill and onto the grass.

I creepishly walk and vanish into the tall prairie grass. A hissing noise catches me dead in my tracks. All I can see is a trail of blood. I begin to push the grass out of my way as I follow the trail. The more I follow, the more I begin to really feel lost and the thoughts of 'is this really worth it' take over my head until I spot the scene. A man that appeared to be my age laying on the raw exposed deep brown dirt. He was struggling in pain as blood was falling from his left side.

"Are you okay?" I quietly asked.

"Yes," the man said as he groaned in pain.

"Who are you?" I questioned.

"Why does it matter to you?" he snickered. "Just leave me alone."

His cold hearted tone lead me into believing that no I am not leaving you alone here while you are bleeding everywhere.

"I will leave you alone if you tell me who you are," I staley said.

"My name is Zale. Now go!"

His golden locks of hair shadowed his dark deep hazel eyes. And not only that, but this man was too pale even for a piece of paper.

"I must get help for you!" I shouted. "I will be right back don't worry I am here to save you from what ever madness took place.

"No!" he yelled. "You mustn't do that. Just please leave without me. I will be fine."

"Well Zale, to me you don't look one bit of fine to me. Here take my hand I will help you back to my car and I can take you to the hospital."

"I won't let you do that!"

"You will die without my help, and I can't let you go through that."

His deep hazel toned eyes cried out for me to just leave him behind. I shuffled my feet from him and began distancing myself from his horrific bloody unanimated man. I pushed my way through the grass and made my way down the slight hill and lay my feet against the sand. I could tell a good storm was about to kick up. But I jump back over the slight hill and ran into the endless sea of prairie grass. No sight of Zale was to be found. I twist my body in all directions overlooking my surrounding area. I was alone.
