Narrator:

 

(Opens to show Batman’s parents being shot by a gangster. Batman is now all alone)

One shot,

Two shots in the night and they’re gone

And he’s all left alone.

He’s just one boy.

Two dead at his feet, and their blood stains the street.

And there’s nothing, no there’s nothing he can do.

 

“Jeez. It just started and already they show that,” Bruce grumbled, looking down.

“At least it was to a catchy tune,” Dick said lightly, in his usual fashion.

(Begins a fighting sequence, really its just Batman kicking and punching the air)

Except, be the baddest man that there’s ever been.

He’s gonna carry the weight.

He’s gonna get revenge.

He’s got Gotham, he’ll never refuse ‘em,

He’s got bat nunchucks, and he knows how to use ‘em!

 

(Alfred comes out with Batman’s gloves and helmet)

“There’s Alfred!” Dick said in a hushed yell, nudging Alfred in the ribs. Alfred sighed.

“I know Master Greyson,” he said. “I know me when I see myself,”

One man,

One bat in a cave with a city to save.

He makes one vow.

Two lives he will lead, he’ll protect those in need.

Now there’s nothing, no there’s nothing he can’t do.

 

(Shows Batman putting on his helmet) (2 mobsters now enter)

 

Mobster 1

Alright yous goons! Take these drugs, put em’ into those there guns, and then hand ‘em out to those a’gamblin’ prostitutes, a yea, yea. Yea yeah.

 

 

“I don’t think I’ve run into villains who talk like that,” Bruce commented lightly. “And if I had, I wouldn’t have sent them to jail. I’d send them to school to learn grammar,”

 

Mobster 2

I don’t know about this. Should we really be doing these illegal activities? In a children’s hospital for orphans?

“Now that’s evil,” Dick said, shaking his head.
