A couple days later I woke up and I tried to text Myrtle,but she didn't reply (like usual).I never thought much of it.Until my friends texted me.
"Hey,Ivan" Ji sent
"Yeah" I replied
"I think something might be wrong with Myrtle.I tried texting her for the past few days and she won't respond.Everyone has tried,and nothing" Ji sent,and I know she was getting worried about Myrtle.
"Well,Myrtle has family troubles.She might not be in the mood to text" I sent back.
"No,you don't understand.Chloe and I went to her house to try and help.Her mom answersed and we tried to ask her what's wrong.But she refused to tell use anything,then I got angry and went into her house to try to find her." Ji sent
For a moment I thought she was texting from a prison cell for home invasion.but then I realized that the guards would have just let her send one text.
"I looked around and she wasn't even in there." Ji sent
"So maybe she was at the store or something" I sent back,thinking Ji was stupid.
"Most of the things in her room were gone.And she wouldn't have a ride,I know her family members and they were in that house" Ji sent back
"I think she ran away,I'm gonna travel the entire country till I find her."Ji sent
"Can you help me,nobody will because they are all busy"
I asked my mom and dad,and lied about Ji's mom supervising us.Because if I told them that then they wouldn't let me go.And I was also getting worried about Myrtle.
"Ok" I finally texted back.
We decided to meet up at a park tomorrow.And when it came time to go there we spent most of our time looking for Myrtle,we kept that routine for days.Until it was taking forever then I suggested to Ji if I should use my ability.Ji bursted with hope and joy.
"Thats right,I forgot you can do that with your power's" Ji said
"But we need to go to my house first" I said
We traveled all the way to my house,It was a one story house with a wall covering the sides.The entire yard was like a garden.
I stood there in the center of my yard,I closed my eyes and focused.Then butterflies,moths,bees,and flies came out of the tree's,bushes,and the rest of they're hideing places.I sent them around the city to look for Myrtle.
"It's a good thing you have volukinesis" Ji said as she walked towards me
Volukinesis,that's my power.Its the ability to control bugs.I can also communicate with them,and see through they're eyes.It's a gene I inherited from my mom.She told me that when she found out I can use this ability.
She also told me that everybody in our family with this gene has curly hair,like her and me.So you can put the bugs in their.But she strictly forbidden me from using this ability outside the walls of my house and infront of people.But I was aloud to use it in front of my dad,brothers,and sisters.And I was only aloud to bring butterflies,and moths into the house.
My brothers and sisters come from two different dad's,but we come from the same mom.There are 6 kids in the family.And I was the only one that inherited that gene.I'm also the youngest kid.
The abilities that me and my friends have were all inherited genes passed down through our families.I was surprised to find that out.Our power's are our favorite genes.
We were looking around the city for Myrtle trying to not leave any spot unlooked.It was getting dark and we were on a street on the sidewalk.the street lights turned on.Ji and I were walking in silence til Ji finally broke it.
She feel on her knees.
"I don't think we will ever find her" Ji said in a sad tone
"Don't worry things like this takes time" I said reassuring her
"No,we've been looking for so long now,what if she ran away and got herself killed" Ji said holding back tears
She picked up a pebble and held it in her hands.Then she started to use her telekinesis to levitate it.This is the side of Ji I never get to see.
I called my brother to pick me up.And I also asked him if he could give Ji a ride home since everybody in her family was busy.Thankfully he said yes.
