We started walking down the street but it was slow going as I wanted to look at everything we passed and into every shop window. After awhile Aunt Jennifer laughed and said, "If we don't start shopping now, it will take us all day at the rate you are going." I smiled and nodded as she lead us over to a large book shop called Florish and Blots. Inside there were books everywhere. Any free space was taken up by books, the whole floor was a maze with piles of books staked on top of each other.
I waundered around as Aunt Jennifer asked for the books I needed for school. I was just looking around the upper level when a book on a stand caught my eye. The title read: Harry Potter, The boy who lived. By J.K. Rowling. On the covor was a picture of a boy with black untidy hair, and brillant green eyes behind glasses. I picked up the book and was just about to read it when Aunt Jennifer called from down below. I set the book down and went down the stairs. "Ready to go?" asked Aunt Jennifer. "Yes." I respoded.
After that we went to a potions shop, a clothes shop that kept changing house colors intill you got sorted, a cauldron shop, a robes shop, a shop where we bought my paper and quills and a quidditch store where we bought me quidditch gear. Which I didn't understand since I didn't really play quidditch but I let Aunt Jennnifer buy it anyway. After we left that shop I asked, "What is left?" Aunt Jennifer scaned down the list of supplies and said. "A pet."
We went into a small pet shop that was very noisey and smelly. "Why don't you go look around, Ella." said Aunt Jennifer. I nodded and strolled through the isles. Some of the creatures in the store were amazing! There were turtles that breathed fire, dogs that had two tails, and rats that could dance. I looked at each animal, not sure which one I should get. I was just looking at a small fish when something brown caught my eye.
I walked down the isle a little bit before I came up to a small cat. At least, that's sort of what it looked like. It had rather large pointed ears, what looked like a lions tail, and large intellecent brown eyes that were looking up at me. She was a tan color all over but with spots on her that were a deep brown. She had wild look about her and I tentativly put a few fingers through the bars. She looked at my fingers for a few secounds then up into my eyes. We stared into each others eyes for a moment and it seemed like a connection passed between us.
She butt her head against my fingers and I softly sratched her behind her large ears. She softly started purring as I deepened the sratch. Suddenly, I heard a gasp and looked up to see the shop keeper looking at me with wide eyes. "You're touching the Kneazle?" he asked astonished. "Um, yeah. It isn't that hard." I said. He looked at me with confused eyes and slowly approached the cage. He put a finger through the bar and reached for the Kneazle but, it swiped at it with a paw and I saw several sharp claws extended. The owner pulled back his finger quickly and looked at the cut on his finger.
The Kneazle looked up at me, rolling it's eyes as if to say 'can you belive this guy?' I stiffeled a giggle and nodded as the owner looked at me in astonishment. Just then Aunt Jennifer came around the bend. "Did you find the one you were looking for?" she asked in French. "Yes. I want this one." I said, pointing to the Kneazle in the cage. She nodded and fifteen minutes later I was walking down the street with the Kneazle in a small cage as it curled up and slept peacfully.
We started up the street to go back when a large colorful sign caught my eye. "Aunt Jennifer? May I go into that store for a few minutes?" I asked. She nodded and smiled. I set down my stuff on the bench that she just sat down at and then went inside the store which had a big sign on the top that read: Weasly Wizard Weasings. Inside the shop, kids and adults covered every inch of the store, on all three stories. I squezzed my way over to the counter where there some quills on display that were spell checking, smart answering and ink replacing. I laughed when I saw it. "This is amazing!" I thought to myself.
I circled the shop, not being able to get very close to the shelves since people were always surrounding them. Finally, a space opened up next to a shelve and I squished myself in. I looked up the shelf and saw a box with a couple on it. I reached up to get it but, sadley, I was to short. As I am for most things that I reach for. Just as I was about to jump up to get it a hand shot up and grabbed the box I was reaching for.
"Here you go..." said a tall, brown haired boy with green eyes as he handed the box to me. He gaped at me as I looked up at him, which made me blush. "Thanks." I muttered, looking down at the ground to avoid seeing him stare at me. The fact is, I'm third part Vella so, I have strange affect on guys. That is also part of the reason that I was home schooled for so long. My father wanted to protect me. I really hated being part Vella though, most guys that I met just wanted to get to know me because I was beautiful, not because of my personality.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw the boy shake his head before saying,"No problem." I couldn't resist, I looked up and smiled at him. I saw his eyes go wide which made me blush even more so I looked down at the box I was now holding. "Patented day dreams. Do they really work?" I asked, looking up at him again. It was silent for a few secounds before the boy looked at the box too and said,"Of course they work! My dad owns the store and everything here is one hundred percent garunteed." Just then a loud boom went off on one of the upper levels and smoke filled the place. It took a few minutes before the smoke dissapeard and I turned to the boy, one eyebrow raised. "Alright, everything is nintey-eight percent garunteed."
I laughed at that which made him smile dreamily. "Um, do you need help with anything?" he asked. I smiled and said, "Yes, thank you very much." He smiled and started showing me around the store, pointing out the different displays and what they did. After a while a secound boy came up to us but this time he had red hair instead of brown. Other than that the two boys looked the same. "Well, my dear brother. What do we have here? Didn't mummy ever tell you to share your toys?" He said the red haired boy cheeckly, giving me a wink. "Mum isn't around Drake. Get lost." Said the brown haired boy. "Are you two twins?" I asked. "Yes, sadley." said the brown haired one. "Oh don't be like that! My names Drake, the less good looking one is Fred Jr." Said the red haired one, Drake.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Ella Krum." I said. Both of their jaws dropped as they looked at me. "What?" I asked. "Krum? As in the quidditch player, Victor Krum?" asked Fred. "Oh, yeah, well, he is my dad." Both of their jaws dropped even lower. After a while, Drake recovered and said,"Well, you are quite a catch, aren't you?" I giggled, blushing. After that the twins followed me around the store and soon their arms were full of things I was going to purchase. When I was paying, Drake did a whistle and said,"Rich as well of beaiutful. Your just perfect around you?" I half smiled, said goodbye and walked out of the store with my packages.
