I followed her in and sat down next to a boy reading a book as the girl put my trunk above my head. When she sat down across from me I noticed another girl sitting beside her. "Well, look what the cat dragged in, another stray." She said, smiling. I couldn't help but smile back. "Yeah, she accidentally sat in Christa's compartment. The other girl grimaced and smiled compassionately at me. She was short in height, I could tell even sitting down. Her brown eyes had an intelligent look to them that made me think that I would never beat her in a test and she had straw straight brown hair that went to her shoulders.

As I looked at her she leaned in toward me and asked sweetly, "What's your name?" "Ella." I said. The two girls waited for my last name but I didn't say anything. The brown haired one caught on and said, "Ella, that's a lovely name. My name is Sydney, the Christa hater one is Ava," she turned to look at her as she gave a cry of outrage. Her look said,'you know you do'. Ava just turned and muttered under her breath. Then Sydney turned to the boy who was still reading the book and said, " And the boy who needs to get his nose out of the book is Fred!" She whipped the book out of his hands and put it away in his trunk above him.

"Hey!" He cried, "I thought a Ravenclaw would support reading." "Usually, we do but, you have been reading the whole time!" "Fine, whatever." He said, turning to look out the window. "Hey, I know you!" I said and he turned to face me. His cheeks went a little red when he saw me but said," Hey! I know you too! Ella, right?" I nodded, smiling. "Wait, you too know each other?" asked Ava. "Yeah, we meet in my Dad's shop." said Fred. Ava snorted and said,"Figures."

I raised an eyebrow at Fred but he just shook his head. I shrugged and pulled out my Kneazle from the case. There was a gasp and I looked up to see Ava staring at me. "Oh my gosh! Is that a Kneazle?" she shrieked, pulling out a large notebook and pencils. "Where did you get it? They're really rare, aren't they? Do you mind if I draw it? I thought they didn't like humans. How did you get it to befriend you? Does it have any siblings? Where did you get it? Do you think I could get one too? Oh, you are so lucky!" She said this all in a few breaths and really fast as her hand zoomed across the page as she studied closely.

"Um?" I said, not really sure what to do. I looked over at Fred who just shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes. "Don't worry. She always does this around animals." said Sydney. "Besides, you don't have another pet, Ava. Don't you already have enough." Ava looked up from her notebook and said,"You can't have to many pets, Sydney, and I don't even have that many." "How many do you have?" I asked. "I have a Phoenix named , a Unicorn named Sparkles, and a trumpet named ."

"You have a what?" I asked as she returned to her notebook. She sighed and said,"A Krumpet. It looks like a terrier dog but it has three tails on its end." "Oh." I said, simply. "So, see, I only have three pets! I need more!" She cried. "Okay, okay. Sorry." said Sydney, raising her hands in defense before dropping them again.

We sat there in silence for a few minutes. Before Sydney asked me, "Ella, what accent do you have? I've never heard it." I smiled and asked in French, "What do you mean?" Sydney laughed and asked, "What language was that?" I laughed too and said in English, "That was french, I don't know if that was the accent i have since I can also speak Bulgarian."

"Really? That's so cool. Say something!" said Ava, not looking at me though, her eyes fixed on the Kneazle in my lap. "How do you do? My name is Ella." I said in Bulgarian. "That is so cool! How did you learn to do that?" asked Sydney. "My father is Bulgarian and he made me learn." I said in English. "Who's your father?" asked Ava. I hesitated for a few seconds before Fred spoke up saying, "Her father is Victor Krum."

Sydney's eyes got huge and I don't think Ava heard because she didn't react expect or erasing something on her paper. "Your father is Victor Krum?" squealed Sydney. I nodded. "Oh, my gosh. I am a huge fan! I love quiddetch and Victor Krum is amazing!" "Um, thanks? I guess?" I asked as Sydney's eyes got a far away look in them.

I looked at Fred for help, since Ava's eyes were on her notepad again. He just shrugged and leaned over to me. "She gets like this when ever someone mentions quidditch." He half whispered to me. "Oh." I nodded back. I had sat in an compartment with some weird people.
