Aztec woke up in a dark cave, his arms, legs, and wings were tied together with thick vines. He grunted and moved around. He then heard a voice...."Stop that, it's useless." The voice boomed, echoing through the huge cave. Aztec huffed and asked, "Who are you?! Where am I?" A figure emerged from the darkness, it lit up a torch with it's flame. The fire lightened up the cave, and exposing the dragon. The dragon chuckled, "Aren't you a feisty one?"
Aztec shuddered as he stared at the dragon, a male hybrid, Skywing and Rainwing to be exact, he looked old, older than Aztec's father. "The name's Oak." The dragon replied, he gave him a comforting smile. Aztec calmed down and then asked, "Why am I tied up?" Oak frowned and said, "You don't remember?" Aztec shook his head and Oak sighed, "Let me refresh your mind, where do I start?"
"You see, I was casually walking until I heard wing beats, it's unusual to see other dragons around here." Oak glanced at Aztec, "When I arrived at the clearing, I saw a pair of dragons, tying you up! They escaped when they saw me, I couldn't see how they exactly looked like but I know they are nightwings." Aztec bit at the vines as Oak spoke. "You were still knocked out, so I brought you here, just in case. I can't believe I still have strength, you were a bit heavy for this old dragon." He laughed.
Aztec ripped off the vines and then turned to look at Oak, he looked down and noticed that Oak....didn't have a arm. "Well....thank you." Oak smiled and said, "No problem, son." Aztec smiled back, Oak seemed nice enough. "I didn't quite get your name?" Oak tilted his head. "Aztec, my name is Aztec."
"It's nice to have a bit of company around here, it's been a while since I have spoken with someone." Oak sighed contently. "You are part rainwing aren't you? Aren't you supposed to be in the Rainwing kingdom?" Oak laughed a bit and answered, "I'm here for my family, I still go and visit the Rainwings, but this, is my home." Aztec nodded, understanding his situation. He stood up and looked around the cave, "It seems comfortable here, does your family live here?" Oak grabbed a fruit and replied, "They live in the Skywing kingdom, they just come visit me here."
"I must go back, it was a pleasure meeting you!" Aztec said. Oak looked at him, "Pass by anytime kid. Don't be scared to visit me, and be careful." Aztec nodded and flew out the entrance.
"Hah, old sack of bones. His time is about to come."
Aztec rolled his eyes, "Leave him be."
