"Taehyung-ah, please sleep. It's nearly two in the morning," The small voice muttered, interrupting the calm speech of silence.
It was one of the usual nights; Taehyung on his laptop until dawn, working on assignments a week early and Ahyun begging him to rest. Taehyung, being the stubborn and hardworking man he is, obviously declined all her suggestions. He was working on an advertising campaign for an upcoming product.
Ahyun sighed and turned her back on him and the glare of his laptop, ready to welcome her well-deserved rest before feeling a warm hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, I promise I'll sleep right after I finish this paragraph."
There it was, the usual excuse that wouldn't happen until nearly an hour later. Ahyun was sound asleep by the time Taehyung saved all his files and closed his laptop, yawning as he reached for the ceiling.
The bed creaked as he placed his feet on the cold floor and he stopped for a second, paying careful attention if he had woken Ahyun. When the faint sound of her breathing reached his ears, he stood up and headed to the kitchen for a glass of milk.
He held the cold glass in his hand, staring at the liquid inside as it rippled with every movement he made. Moonlight peeked through the blinds and Taehyung walked towards it, letting the soft glow envelope the room. He watched as the busy city below him continued to flicker in a variety of colors.
During moments similar to this, he wonders what every individual was doing at a time like that; working, driving, walking, what could they be possibly doing?
Then again, it wasnt part of his business to interfere and question their being. He just wanted to know how everyone else lived.
After all, he isnt the only one that experiences stress and exhaustion.
His focus turns to the ticking clock on the wall, its numbers giving him anxiety as it neared dawn. He would only have three hours until the same cycle repeats again.

Jiyeon heaved as she, as cautiously as she could, placed another heavy box on the floor. She took out a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped the beads of sweat on her neck up. Exhausted, she gave in and slumped down on the floor, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling.
It was hard to believe that she finally managed to turn to the page of her life. It took effort and a few tears, but she made it.
After years of enduring the pain of having to live under her parents' wing she finally moved out and wasnt planning to look back any time soon. How did she do it? She found a job in another city and it just happened to be a job her parents wanted her to have, so they couldn't say otherwise.
She felt power and independence when she stepped out of that house with her belongings.
Feeling slightly better, Jiyeon sat up and decided to walk around her new apartment once more. It was a decent abode with enough space to make it her own.
There was a balcony attached to the living room that overlooked the street below. The building happened to be in a suburban neighborhood and a school, so there won't be much trouble.
