When lunch time rolled around I contemplated whether I wanted to sit with Ross or not. I mean, don't get me wrong I think he's cute and stuff, but I don't really like the crowd he hangs around or the rep he has. I decided just to sit by myself....again.

I wasn't very hungry so I just messed around with my phone under the lunch table. I scrolled and scrolled through twitter until I was bored. I locked my phone, looked up, and jumped at the sight of Ross watching me.

"How long have you been there?" I said trying to slow my breaths.

"Not long. Why didn't you sit with me?"

"um...I don't know. I didn't think you were serious."

He laughed at my awkwardness. "Of course I was serious. I .. I like you Riley."

I rolled my eyes at him. "How can you like me? you don't even know me. "

"that's the thing I want to get to know you."

I smiled, unsure of what to say next. "Why?" He grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes.

"Because I'm sick of falling for the popular bimbos that are all around this school. I want someone more down to earth- someone like you. Wanna take a walk?"

I nodded. He grabbed my stuff and walked with me outside. We talked for the whole lunch period, I learned so much about Ross. He wasn't a bad boy just to be a bad boy he has been trying to get his parents attention since they haven't been giving him much lately. He also has 3 brothers and one sister with names that start with R, which was pretty cool.

We talked about our hopes and dreams as we held hands on the grass. When lunch unfortunately ended, Ross pulled me into a bear hug. Sparks flew when he slipped something in my back pocket and whispered "call me" in my ear.
