Delaney's pov
"Del, wake up." I heard a gentle voice say.
"Whyyyy?" I whined while turning over.
"Because we are home." At that word my eyes flung open and we were in a car outside of Julie's house.
"How in the world-"
"You're a sound sleeper." Julie said with a snicker.
"Oh hush now." I said before exiting the car. I walk to the house but before I could get there everyone came piling out just to give me a hug. Several voices were happening at once that it was a little confusing.
"ENOUGH!" Julie shouted. Everyone froze and turned to her including me. "Go to the house and it will all be explained. Everyone must help collect her things." Julie said calmly. We all piled into the house and stayed silent until she had closed the door.
"Why do we need to pack her stuff?" Becca asked and it almost sounded like she cared. I knew she did she just doesn't show it.
"Because Delaney is going to a new pack to work with her new illness. No it is not contagious but it is rare which means that she needs to go to a special place to get better." Julie explained and I knew her heart was breaking with every word. Everyone stared at me curiously.
"But she doesn't look ill." Emily said quietly.
"That's because it isn't like that. This affects her wolf and her emotions. It happens every thousand years when you are rejected by your mate or there is the start of the rejection. " Julie explained looking at me. That bastard did this to me! Why is he screwing with my life?
"Delaney you were rejected?" John asked upset and sad. We all cared a lot about each other so this wasn't unusual.
"Not officially but yes I was. I went to go talk to Ryland and I found him banging Rita. The next day I thought I could ignore him until he said I was jealous of Rita. I felt the hurt but most of all undescribable anger." I said quietly.
"Wait Ryland as in soon to be Alpha Ryland?" Victor asked getting upset. I nodded with tears threatening to spill from my eyes.
"Yep. Who would've figured?" I asked with a humorless laugh.
"That asshole does this to you only to show off his new luna tonight! Can we leave with Delaney?" Cydney asked out of anger. She didn't like it here either.
"Yeah! Why should we take this?! Let's go!" Harry said putting his arm around my shoulder. I smiled at their loyalty.
"I agree!" exclaimed Adam and Trey.
"Children! What you are asking is to move you all across seven states just so you can stay together?" Julie asked looking stern but in her eyes she was smiling.
"Of course! We are the last members of the Nova Pack and we will not split that up now. What do you say gang?" John asked with a smile.
"Julie come with us." I said with a smile.
"My home is here Delaney." She said gently.
"Your home is with us Julie. Please." Emily begged giving Julie a side hug. She was the youngest but she understood fully what was going on. She looked around at us before smiling.
"I think it's time for a change." She said. We all cheered and gave a group hug but then something stuck out in my brain. Ryland was unveiling his luna tonight. Maybe I should take a little revenge while I can. Suddenly my choker started to light up.
"Julie why is her necklace glowing?" Becca asked wearily. They all looked at me and I begged silently for it too stop.
"Delaney whatever you are thinking of doing you need to stop. Your anger is going to cause it to glow." Julie said gently. I sighed before taking a big breath. The glowing slowly stopped.
"This is gonna be hard but I think I can do it." I said gently.
"We can." Harry said hugging me. I hugged him back.
"We better head to the pack house. We have to sign our names away." Adam said wisely. We smiled before all of us including Julie headed for the pack house. It was only a few blocks away so we walked there. It was a nice night and for once we felt closer then ever. When we made it to the pack house we walked in with an air of importance. It was weird but kinda of nice. People were leaving so I guess the unveiling went well. We walked to the Alpha's office where he was sitting behind his desk and looking upset.
"Alpha, you need any Aleve?" I asked with a small smile. He looked up at me with a similar smile but it soon turned into a look of shock.
"What are you all doing here?" He asked standing up. Julie stepped forward as if she was floating on air.
"All of us decided we should leave with Delaney. We are a family that won't be broken up." Julie said confidently. His eyes shined with pride and loyalty.
"Okay well I need to contact Alpha Murrs of the Silver Waves Pack and make some arrangements. Why don't you kids say goodbye to some of the pack members that are still here and Julie can stay here to answer any questions he has." He said gently. We nodded before leaving the room. I already knew I was saying goodbye too. We all split up but for some reason Harry stayed with me. I looked at him with a confused look.
"Harry why don't you go with John?" I asked gently.
"I know where you're going and I know you're gonna need some support or someone to back you up." He said with a smile. I laughed.
"Okay come on. Let's go see who he picked." I said with a smirk. We walk down the hall near the meeting room and his scent was strong there so I decided it was time. I knocked on the door then heard a giggle before a rough sound of someone saying come in. Harry opened the door only to see a really beautiful girl sitting on his lap. She didn't wear heavy amounts of makeup and she was in a simple pink sundress. He was looking at me with shock.
"Delaney I thought you left?" He asked sounding shocked and confused.
"I did but not for the reasons you think. I'm leaving for good now. We just need to sign our names over. I just came to say goodbye." I said with a blank face. I felt sadness and jealousy but also hurt. He stood up.
"Who is this we?" He asked with the same blank expression.
"All the kids who lived with Julie and Julie herself. We need something different." I said quietly. I felt Harry come up and wrap his arm around my shoulders.
"Fine if that's how you see it then leave." He said sternly.
"That was the plan." Harry said blandly. We turned to leave but before we could he came over to us and pulled me to the side. The sparks shooting up my arm felt so nice but they wouldn't last. He leaned close to my ear so no one could hear.
"I soon to be Alpha Ryland Payne reject you Delaney Oaks as my Mate and as Luna of this pack. Have a good life without me Delaney because I know I will have a better one without you." He hissed in my ear and my heart shattered. The necklace started to glow brightly. He backed up and looked at it.
"I Delaney Oaks accept your rejection." I whispered but that only made the glowing worse. That's when I notice my hands start to shake. Crap. I walked back over to Harry and the room was filled with tension. He took my hand and lead me out of the room. My body had yet to stop shaking. Harry stopped us before picking me up and I just accepted it. I didn't want to feel right now. My body was hurting. I knew this didn't help the illness I acquired. He took me back to the office where I already knew they were finishing up the meeting. I opened the door for Harry and we saw their concerned faces.
"What happened?" Julie asked as Harry set me in the chair but I didn't move nor did I want to move.
"My best guess is that he fully rejected her. Her choker is even still glowing." He said gently.
"My son is such an idiot." The Alpha said sadly. Julie walked over and gave me a hug but I didn't hug back. I couldn't.
"Well we are leaving tonight anyway. Let's round up the others and Alpha if you cared to help us that would be wonderful." Julie said pulling me up out of the chair.
"I would love to help you guys." He said getting up from his chair. As we left the room it occured to me that I got what I wanted but it hurt worse then I ever thought it would. I hope he is happy because I know for a fact I will never be happy again.
