Instantly the action started, The beowolves now moving at breakneck speeds to pounce upon their prey, but Team RNJR knew their opponents well and situated a formation behind the peak of the hill waiting for the perfect time to strike. The first beowolf over the ridge was also the first to be cut down as Ruby had effectively used it's own momentum to slice it in half, the last two beowolves seemed to be more fortunate in their arrival times as they managed to force Ruby back with a flurry of blows, her aura shrugging of the damage as if it was just a scratch, Ren shot at the beowolf's leg as Jaune slice through the other, Nora took this as her chance and jumped off of the ground and swung her hammer at the back of the grimm, the beowolf now hunched over, Ruby dashed forward and sliced upwards instantly decapitating the beast.
Through the distraction, the third and last beowolf clobbered Ruby from behind gaining the attention of the group, Jaune a little bit frustrated with how long this was taking, ran up to the beowolf slicing it's knee and then bringing it up towards it's chest, with the beast now weakened he prepared the final blow, bringing the sword over his head, the beowolf seeing a chance to strike lunged forward, body slamming the kid, the beowolf continued slashing at the poor child for a while before ren interfered, he spun around slicing the beowolf every turn, he jumped forward and latched his guns unto the grimm's shoulders and shot multiple times, the creature fell down and Nora smashed it's head into oblivion with her hammer.
" Aww, I broke it and I didn't even get to break it's legs..." Ren chuckled ever so slightly at that remark "We can find a new one if you like" Nora turned around, now facing him "oooo, that's a great idea!" Ruby, already tired from the walk and now absolutely exhausted from the fight had to decline the suggestion "Nora it's late, I can see the town ahead, we can find some more in the morning if you like?" Nora looked down, and then up again "Fine, let's go" and so the brave hunters and huntresses in training continued on forward towards the town.
