Colours

I knew warmth of the sun on my skin,
I knew the feel of seashells.
I knew the touch of warm sand,
I knew the smell of the flowers.
I knew the shrill sound of the birds,
I knew the shiver on touching the ice.
I knew the tears on eating a chilly,
I knew the sound of couples kiss,
I knew the feel of solitude bliss.
What I didn't know I feel I do now-
For the sun seems more yellow,
And the seashells quite distinct.
The sand feels better,
So do the birds in the sky.
For I know that white ice,
And the chilly that burns my tongue.
I know what 'alluring' really means,
For I can see the time pass by that solitude bliss.
For these eyes living in black found a light within.
I set foot on the earth a second time.
And suddenly my black world found its colours again...

Hey wonderful readers! Firstly thank you so much for bearing with my highly irregular updates. But I've gotta confess. The poems I wrote before this one were written almost in the span of a year before I decided to publish them on Wattpad.
However, I do require that frame of mind to write a poetry, which I couldn't really have, especially under the pressure of regular updates (I'm just not used to it yet as I'm new to publishing my works and the idea is still unnerving). Hope you understand.
This poetry may not be as good as the others but do tell me what you think of it. Again, criticism is highly appreciated. Do vote and comment if you like it (And sorry for my ranting 😅) Love you guys! XOX
