IT WAS TWO IN THE morning, she was still awake, phone in hand as she talked to the boy that she had been in a call with since 12 am after she kept tossing and turning on the bed and couldn't sleep. She didn't know why, but usually when she lies down on the bed, she'd be asleep. Psyche and Vasilisa always teased her for that, but right now, for some reason she didn't know, she just couldn't sleep.
"It's 2:30, Nat, shouldn't you be sleeping?" He asked.
"It's 2:28, Haz, and I can't sleep," she replied, "You don't have to talk to me until I sleep, you know?"
"I know," he said, "but I want to," he added, and a smile came its way on Natasha's lips after the words came out of his mouth. "But you really should sleep, Nat."
"What if I just like talking to you?" Natasha asked, which she immediately regretted saying because it would probably make the conversation awkward.
"I like talking to you too, Nat."
"Harrison! Tom's here!" Charlotte yelled, earning a groan from Harrison.
"It looks like I'm the one that has to go," he informed, "Get some sleep, okay? I'm gonna go. Tom's here."
"Okay, okay. Tell Tom I said 'hi'. Bye."
"Will do. Bye."
As soon as the call ended, she placed her phone on her bedside table, and a smile was still on her lips as she closed her eyes to sleep.

"WAIT, SO, DO YOU, LIKE, like, Natasha?" Tom asked his best friend, "'cause you two would make a great couple, and I'm not saying that just because we ship you guys, but I know she would be perfect for you," he added.
"No, Nat's... Nat's just a friend. I think she's great, and that anyone would be lucky to date her, but really, I think we're better off as friends, so don't try anything, okay?" he replied, and Tom just nodded his head at the words of his best friend.
"Okay. Whatever you say. We won't do anything." He pulled out his phone and typed a message to their groupchat.
