Moving every couple of months because your father resists to pay for his crimes is tiring. Monotonous, even. For seven years she's traveled around the world, living off anything stolen. She has no choice but to put up with it for the sake of her brother, so when it comes to having a social life, she doesn't.

Her father's case was national, their whole family had to change the way they look, but this particular guy sees November without her disguise, automatically recognizing the facial features of a criminal.
But he doesn't turn Novi's father in. Instead he helps November become an LA girl.
