Game: Splatoon
Genre: don't ask
I made this myself, since I did x readers for each squid sister, thought maybe off the hook too?***
I can't believe I saved all of the promise land! Finally, I can get out and finally breathe fresh air!
"I didn't know the promise land's air was going to be nice," I smile to myself. "Yeah, sure is better then from the humid and icky subway," Agent 3 murmured. "See that tower? That's where Inkopolis Square is, that's our destination," Marina pointed excitedly. "Your new home!" "A nice fresh start," Cuttlefish winks. Everyone was chatting about except Pearl, just quietly watching out the window, twiddling her thumbs. "Whatcha thinking Pearl?" I ask curiously. "Eh? Just watching the window dork," she turned her head to me. "Your awfully quiet lately, well except you helping to save the promise land," I wanted to keep a conversation going. "Heh, I guess I did save Inkopolis... and us too," Pearl made a real smile and turned back to the window. I hope you're okay....We made it to Inkopolis Square, I tried to contain my excitement. "Hey (Y/n), why don't you stay with us tonight, yeah?" Marina politely offers. "Sure," I answer, but my mind is on Pearl, and her mental state. The Off the Hook girls lead me into this building, "This is our studio." Pearl shows me. "This is where we do our news for Inkopolis to hear, in the back is like our second house. We will sleep here tonight," Marina squeals a little. We went into the back and here was a bunk bed and a couch. "You can take my bed (Y/n), I can sleep on the couch," Pearl yawns. "You sure...?" "Positive~" Pearl winks. I don't know why, but she made me blush a tiny bit. "We've been up all night long, (Y/n), why don't you rest with us?" Marina offers. "Okay..." I nod slowly. Pearl slept on the top, I used her ladder and climbed into her bed. Her bed smelt like her, it brought me into comfort as I pull the covers over me. "Goodnight Pearl, (Y/n)," Marina turns off the light. I force my eyes shut, and I was pulled to sleep.
~A few hours later~
...BANG!
I woke up on the ground, the pain starts to spread to my sides and my head. "Ugh... a bad dream..." I rub my head, I faced to Pearl sulking on the couch on her computer. Pearl's sobbing face looks at me, and she hurried to wipe her tears. "Oh... *sniff* you're up a little too early..." Pearl croaked in between sniffles. "I woke up from a bad dream. Pearl... you okay?" I got up and motioned to the couch. "I'm totally fine, don't worry about me," Pearl wipes more of her shiny tears. I sat beside Pearl, studying her face. "Pearl... you don't look fine," I tell her. "What are you talking about? I'm totally okay right now, you're the one that's not fine..." Pearl kept rambling on, I glanced at her laptop. There were so many hate comments, cyber bullying. "What the hell..." I curse under my breath. "Hey... uh... don't r-read those!" Pearl slams her laptop shut. "Pearl, why didn't you tell me?" I ask. "Because... I don't know, I don't want you guys worrying about me," Pearl sighs. "I just hate how I'm the one everyone hates, while there's Marina the perfect Octoling. With her looks and her curvy figure that whoos all the guys. I'm just jealous how much people like her and not me... but never EVER tell Marina this."
"You know, you were always my favorite," I suddenly tell her. Ever since we started talking on the metro, I always liked Pearl. She's so cute, and I love how short and funny she is! Sure Marina might be sweet and all, but Pearl is by far the best. "You're just saying that, you're an Octoling who will probably always follow Marina everywhere," Pearl sighs. "But it's the truth, sure Marina might be kind to everyone, but I always liked you. No wait, not liked... LOVE you," I explain my feelings. "R-Really?" Pearl stuttered with a hint of blush. "Yeah, really!" I beam.
"Hey... (Y/n)?" Pearl asks. "Hmm?" "Will you cuddle with me tonight?" Pearl blushes all over. "I would love that~" She scoots over for me to have room next to her and we shared the blanket. She starts to spoon me. "(Y/n)...?" Pearl whispers. "Yes?" I reply.
"I love you too..."
