"So you kissed him!" Angela squealed grabbing onto my hands.

"Yes and it was amazing" I exclaimed while jumping up and down in my bed as Angela tags along.

I had invited Angela over because after last night, I couldn't keep my lips zipped about what had happened. It wasn't like I could've told my mom about it without her freaking out on me or Nonna without her judging me due to her staying true to her religious beliefs. Let's just say making out with some random guy at a family party wouldn't necessarily be celebrated in my family.

So I took the opportunity to call Angela over in hopes to become better friends and so she can inform me more about Jersey and hopefully Luca.

After coming home last night, I had passed out onto my bed immediately. Waking up was blissful, knowing that last night wasn't a dream and that it was real and it actually happened. And for once, I felt happy. I wasn't stressing myself over my dad or the case, I felt like normal in a sense. I actually looked forward to the day and what could bring me. After last night, I grown to appreciate the unexpected. The only thing that frustrated me was that I didn't have any way of contacting him.

So then I decided to bring my frustration into light and mention it to Angela to see if she can help in some sort.

I pause myself while jumping and looked at her. Angela was pale blonde with milky white skin that illuminated in the sun. Her eyes sparkled like storm clouds right before lightning hit. Sometimes they looked like icy glaciers when the sun hit them but at the party with dim lighting her eyes looked like the sky at the crack of dawn: a light blue with specks of dark navy. Her lips were naturally plumped with a dark pinky red tint. Angela was a descendant of Polish and Italian parents which explains her light complexion.

"Sadly, I never got his number" I sighed taking seat back onto the bed. Angela joins me as I slouch up against my bed frame.

"Umm, well I don't have his number. And Luca deleted all of his social media accounts when summer started," she says looking down at her hands as my face begins to sag into a frown.

"But I do think I might have his friends number" she mentions with a wide smile.

"Can you ask him for it?" I say with a smirk nudging her shoulder.

"Of course" she sighs, she whips out her phone and begins to search for his friends name. I wonder why she sighed but I shake off the thought when Angela shows me his friends name brightening her phone.

"Should we call him?" She jokingly said and I nod my head yes with glee.

The phone begins to ring and after every long beep my anticipation grows more.

"Hey Angela, what's up" the deep, husky voice spoke on the other end.

"Hey Bruno, my friend Maria here was wondering if she can have Luca's number?" Angela asks politely.

"Hold on, who's asking?" Bruno says with clear confusion in his deep voice.

"Uh, Maria?" She uttered.

"Sorry, I can't give it to you. Luca doesn't want random people having his number" he answers firmly.

"But Maria isn't random" she defended quickly.

"Well, I'll run the idea to him and maybe he'll just contact her himself but other than that I can't give you anything else right now." He declares before swiftly hanging up the phone.

"That was weird" I remarked.

"I think it's just because Mr. Alessandro wants him to take his place as Don, he's being more cautious with who he associates with" she sighs once more but I'm still left in a state of bafflement.
