A high pitched bell rang as I sung the glass door open. I walked on the black and white checkered floor and began to scan the room for Angela. The ice cream shop had a mint green and white interior design with red accents, it had seemed like an odd mixture of colors but weirdly enough they complemented each other nicely.
As I walked further inside, I saw a familiar blonde twirling herself on a silver bar stool talking to a not-so-familiar guy and girl.
I walk up to them and tapped Angela on the shoulder only for her to let out a loud yelp in my face.
"Maria!" She squealed grabbing my hands aggressively.
"Hi" I smiled brightly, taking in her positive energy.
"This is Stefano and Juliette Montella. I saw them buying ice cream and I couldn't help but say hi." She introduces me.
I raise my right hand and gave a slight wave, whispering 'hi' to both of them. The name Montella sounded oddly familiar to me but I couldn't quite remember where I heard the name.
"And this is my cousin Maria, she moved into town a little while ago" she continues.
"Hi, nice to meet you" Stefano says with a thick Jersey accent.
"What's up" Juliette giggles.
"Why don't we sit in a booth?" Angela proposes, she stands up looking at all of us with glee in her eyes.
"Sure, I don't see why not" Stefano agrees.
I was kind of mad that Angela intentionally invited some random strangers to our hangout. I was planning on asking her some important questions but I guess I'm going to have to put them aside till they leave.
They all stand up and we began walk slowly to a red plastic booth. We all slide in, I sat next to Juliette and Angela sat with Stefano on the other side.
"So what's up?" I ask everyone.
"Nothing much, I just got home from being away in college and felt little nostalgic and decided to take my lil sis out for ice cream" Stefano chuckles as he reaches over to rub Juliet's head so her hair got messy.
Stefano had Hershey brown shaggy hair with slight curls in the ends. He had thick eyebrows that seemed to hover his small yet wide eyes. His eyes were a hickory as rich as the earth's soil; stained with the colour of hot chocolate. Stefano brought a very alluring nature to me which had puzzled me.
Stefano's has a long nose that slightly turned at the end making a right which made me wonder if it was always like that or if he had gotten into a fight. His lips were pouty and he owned striking high cheek bones that met with rigid square jawline to which he kept clenching. I found him attractive but I was quick to be struck with guilt when my mind drifted off to Luca. This wouldn't be fair for him.
"To which we never ended up getting cause little miss sunshine Angela here interrupted us" Juliette chuckled.
I looked over to Juliette and observed her features. Much like her brother, she was blessed with thick brows and gorgeous mahogany brown eyes. She had light ashy brown straight hair that met halfway along her back.
"Sorry, it's just I haven't seen you since school has been over and I haven't seen Stefano almost all year since he's been away" Angela throws her hands up in surrender.
"No, no it's fine don't worry about it" Stefano coaxes Angela and I catch Angela blushing.
"So how've you been Maria, you haven't left the house almost all week" Angela asks leaning in so her elbows were on the table.
