"HELP ME JISUNG" chenle shouts, and jisung sits up, gasping for air.

"god i hate sleeping," he mumbles, "i always have nightmares." and at that he gets up, ready to start another day.

"pop quiz!" chenle exclaims. it was his 3rd week tutoring jisung and he could already tell he was improving. not enough to notice by a teacher, but he did notice.

"why today? my brain feels fried." jisung complains.

"too bad, your worst subject is history, and there's no escaping so get ready."

jisung groans, getting his pencil and paper out. at least he's more confident about history now, thanks to chenle. 'when will you confess?' he thinks. 'no,' he stops himself, shaking his head. 'it's too soon.'

✎ ...

"congrats!" chenle says excitedly. "you've gone from an F average to a D+ average!"

"that's good?" jisung asks, even thought he's excited to get anything above a 50%.

"of course it is! especially since we've only been working together for a few weeks."

jisung liked how he said it. "working together" instead of "tutoring" since chenle knew jisung hated having to be helped. 'he knows a lot about me," he thinks to himself. 'god stop. you sound like a 15 year old girl.'

"hey!" chenle says, cutting through his inner monologue. "earth to jisung!"

"i'm listening, i'm listening!" he really wasn't.

"well, let's move on to math then." as much as he seemed to love tutoring, chenle despised having to teach jisung everything, he'd much rather get to know him more. he'd had a slight crush on him since god knows when, but he wasn't ready to confess. it seems he'd never gather up the courage to.
