It's complicated

Chapter 2

I walk back to my house to find Lilly sat in her room surrounded by a pile of clothes, shoes and make up. She looks up at me and sighs.

"I am never going to find the right outfit!!" she gestures to the mess on the floor "everything is either too big, too small or I have worn before"

"Surely there has to be something" I sit beside her

"I've looked and looked!! I can't find anything!! Annie help me!!" she wails

"Look calm down. It's not that big of a deal. You know Ashton will love you in anything"

"You really think so?" I can see she feels relieved

"I know so. That boy adores you. He loves you for you, not for what you look like or what you are wearing. He will be happy if you just turned up to the date" I smile at her. She begins to tear up.

"Annie you are the best sister in the world!!" She pulls me in and starts to hug me.

"How about you pick something out of my wardrobe?"

"Yes please!!!" She jumps up and runs to my room.

About an hour later, Lilly is wearing my purple maxi dress with some wedges. I have curled her hair and done her makeup. She looks stunning.

"Lilly you look beautiful" I put my arm around her as we both stare into the mirror

"Thank you so much!! I couldn't have done this without you" she grabs her bag and heads downstairs just as the doorbell rings.

I open the door. Its Ashton, I have to admit that Ashton looks so handsome. He cleans up well.

"Hi annie, is Lilly ready?" he says smiles at me showing off his white teeth

"Yes. You look amazing"

"Thank you" he says as Lilly enters the room. His eyes fix on her. "wow you are beautiful"

"Thank you" Lilly blushes

"I will have her home at 10" Ashton says whilst holding Lilly's hand

"Have fun!!" I shut the door behind them.

At least my sister is having a good time tonight. It's nice she has found someone like Ashton. Ashton is the same age as me, we are both friends so I know he will treat her right. I wish Tom would take me out on romantic dates. That would be so sweet. He has never done that before, I have never been on a date before. I am the older sister and my younger sister has been on dates before me. It shows how bad my love life is...

*beep* *beep*

My phone goes off.

<hey Annie. Sleepover at Calums?> Luke texts me

<sure. Be there in 10> I reply back

At least I'm not going to be alone tonight. I quickly gather some clothes and essentials for the sleepover, write a note for my mum saying 'Hi, I am at cal's for a sleepover. Lilly is out with Ash, she will be back at 10' Then walk over to calum's house. He only lives round the corner too. It's nice having my friends live close to me.

I arrive at his house and knock at the door. Michael answers the door wearing a unicorn onesie.

"Annie's here" he yells to the others.

I walk trough the door to see the guys in sleeping bags eating more pizza.

"Pizza? Again?" I laugh

"We got hungry. Don't worry we saved you and Polly a slice" Cal explains as I sit on the couch next to Luke

"When is she getting here?" I ask
