Dearest, how'd you see the world
in such a lovely form?
How'd you come and touch my world
and tame the valiant storm?

Dearest, how'd you know my name
and say it with such grace?
How'd it touch and feel the same
when our fingers interlace?

Dearest, you are such a beauty,
have I said it to you before?
Your smile is but a library
with a thousand books and more.

Dearest, I always remember
the way you asked for my love.
Tears were shed in that late November
while the stars were dazzling above.

Dearest, when I look at you
I see there's more to life
more than all the worthless view
for worth is worth the fight.

Dearest, why didn't you tell me
that there's more behind that smile.
Far beyond those smiles I see
a soul is dying inside.

Dearest, I will never lie,
you are my first, nonetheless.
When I heard about the day you died,
my heart decided to rest

Dearest, our dreams were dreamt together
I can never call them my own.
But dreams are meant for the better
so for you, I will do it alone.
