You awoke the next morning outside in a chair on a gigantic porch. You're at first startled and don't remember where you are, and it all comes rushing back. You groan. There is no way this is happening. Lincoln suddenly comes rushing out of the front door to you, holding another glass of the weird liquid. You're still very weak and tired, but don't feel as much pain and feel like you can walk around.

"Hey, Y/N," Lincoln says quickly before shoving the glass at you. "Once again, welcome to Camp Half-Blood." It still takes you aback that he has furry hindquarters and not human legs, but you shake it off. As soon as you take a small sip of what Lincoln called Nectar, you feel better. He then hands you a small square of gold. "Eat this," he says.

You take it and pop it in your mouth. It tastes delicious, like (your favorite food).

"What is this stuff?" You asked, intrigued. You reach for another and Lincoln quickly pulls away.

"Nectar and ambrosia," Lincoln said hastily. "It speeds up the healing process, by, well a ton. Chiron estimated without it, you probably would've taken a week and a half instead of 2 days to get back to normal. You had a rough time with that manticore, and took a pretty bad hit to the head. Although it's great to use in touch situations, if you eat too much it will turn your blood to fire and your bones to ash. You've had enough."

You decide you'd rather keep your blood in the liquid form and take his advice. He motions for you to follow him and you do. You feel like you can run a marathon now.

The two of you walk around the porch where you find a man in a loud Hawaiian shirt and Chiron the horseman playing a card game. (P.S. this takes place before/during the lightning thief and will work its way through all the books of the series, so you get to be friends with Percy and help fight in the last battle and stuff)

"Is that poker?" You speak up.

The man in the ugly shirt froze, and snapped around to look at you with an annoyed look. "Oh, another one. Joy."

"It's pinochle," said Lincoln.

"Pinochle? What's that?" You asked.

The man in the shirt huffed and got up so quickly and obnoxiously his chair almost fell over. He then stomped inside.

"What was that about..." you asked under your breath, but didn't really ask. The man made you uneasy. He had some weird aura around him that made you uncomfortable.

You pause, unsure of what to say to that. You give the man a confused/annoyed look, but it doesn't seem to bother him. Looking around, there are 4 empty Diet Coke cans surrounding the man's place at the table.

"I'm glad you're awake, Y/N," Chiron smiles reassuringly. "I'm sure you have a lot of questions, and I would love to assist you, but another camper arrived last night. His name is Percy Jackson, and I'm afraid he might need some help. He's sort of... well... slow."

"Slow isn't the word for it," the air shimmered and another girl popped into existence out of nowhere. She rolled her eyes, crossed her arms and leaned against the porch rail casually, as if normally she just appeared and disappeared at random. Startled, you jump back. The girl looks in your direction. "Newbie?" She asked Chiron. Chiron nodded. The girl turned. "Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." She had blonde hair and stormy grey eyes, much like your own. She furrowed her brow at you, and studied you intently, before waving you off. "My name's Annabeth Chase. You?"

"Y/N Y/L/N." You replied.

"Well, nice to meet you." Annabeth said, before sighing in discontent. "Guess I better get back to Mr. Clueless in there. He's rambling on about pizza, goat legs, and 'bull dudes.'" Annabeth smirks at you, as if to say, 'he's kind of cute though.'

Chiron nodded and dismissed the girl. She walked off down the wraparound porch and left. "Sorry, that was Annabeth. She's been here since she was 7. She's one of our best warriors, and headstrong as well."

"I'm sorry, but what exactly am I?" You ask, in a way, defensively. "Because all I'm hearing is my mom is some Olympian and I'm some half-blood. I'm positive I'm not a half-blood, surely I'd have figured that out for myself by now- and my mom is not an Olympian. She's a dead beat who left my dad and I to fend for ourselves."

Chiron exchanged glances with Lincoln. "Get an Apollo kid to give her a tour."

Lincoln stood and ran across the hills towards an area with a bunch of weird buildings. It was the first time you really noticed it. A cluster of 20 buildings, pathways and fountains in the middle. Off to the side was a collection of even odder buildings. In the distance, a towering forest encircled the camp. In the opposite direction, beautiful strawberry fields.

You groan, and slump into a chair. "I just want to go home."

"You can't," Chiron said. "Ah, well, you can. Some campers stay year round though."

You look at him in confusion. "Year round?"

"Camp Half-Blood, for some, is a home. Some of the more powerful half-bloods stay and train year round because it's more safe. Others have nothing in the mortal world. Most half-bloods don't do well in school, or don't bother with it. Some don't have good home life's. Others, just stay because they enjoy it so much." Chiron said. "You'll be given the choice at the end of the summer to return to your normal life or stay."

"What I'm hearing is no school?" you ask.

Chiron laughed. "You'll still learn here."

"So..." you begin. "Who's my parent?"

"Your mother," Chiron began. "We don't know. You'll be claimed by them."

"So do I have brothers and sisters?" You ask.

"Depends on the parentage," Chiron said. "Some have more children than others. For example, Ares and Apollo have many children. Others, like Dionysus, don't have that many."

"Gotcha," you say, though you really don't understand any of it.
