I arrived at the laundromat and looked across the street and spotted the gym. Hm maybe I should go back and get in shape. It's been a while since I've been there anyways.
I grabbed my basket and walked in the laundromat. The freshness smell going into my nostrils. Seeing yhe laundromat almost empty today makes me feel relieved. But of course your usual customers are waiting for their loads.
I opened the washer and shove my clothes in. I made sure to clear out the pockets just in case some lose change was in there. As I was looking through my red jacket, I found a piece of paper.
Here's my number, xxx-xxx-xx -Lance
I smiled at it,remembering the day we've met.
~flashback~
I was walking down the street while cleaning my sunglasses. Suddenly I was bumped, which caused me to drop my sunglasses on the ground.
"Watch where you're going asshole!" I yelled at the person. I picked up my now broken sunglasses and sighed at it. "Oh I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you or break your sunglasses." A voice spoke.
I looked and saw that it was the person who had bumped me. "It's fine. No need to worry about it." The guy was looking at me strangely which weirded me out. "Why are you staring at me? I told you that it was fine."
The guy kept on staring at me. It made feel uncomfortable so I walked away. Suddenly a hand grabbed my arm, stopping me from moving forward. I turn around seeing as the stranger hasn't let go of my arm. "Hey!" I yelled at him, frustrated.
"Oh sorry about that but are you Keith Kogane?" He asks, letting go of my arm. I nodded, not sure how he knew about my name. "We use to go to the Galaxy Garrison together. We were kind of rivals back in the day." He smiled
"Sorry but who are you?" I questioned. I didn't seem to remember the guy's name or appearance. The guy sighed, "I'm Lance, don't you remember? We were in the same class." Then the realization hit me, he was they guy who always tried to one up me with every single thing we did.
"Oh yeah, Lance. It's been awhile sorry for not recognizing you." He seemed pleased with my response. "No I understand, you know since you were dismissed from the garrison."
I nodded, not knowing what else to say. His hands began to play the end of his shirt, nervously tugging it. "Well uhh here's my number, you know to make up for the umm...the sunglasses, yeah the sunglasses."
I took the piece of paper and put it inside my jacket's pocket. "Again I said it was fine, you don't have to repay me for anything." He shook his head denying of what I said. "I know you told me but I still feel bad for it. Just let me repay you for them, we can go and get some new sunglasses."
I chuckled, "I have another pair at home so I don't need some new ones but as you desperately trying to repay me, meet me at The Garret Café tomorrow at 10." Lance nodded and smiled. "I know that place, my friend Hunk owns it. Is it okay if we meet at 10:30? I have some things to finish in the morning so I might be a bit late."
"Sure thing. I have to get going, see ya tomorrow." I waved at him.
