Chapter 13
The young Haddock house
"Finally their gown, are you hungry honey?" "Very" "Ok I'll get on cooking" He kisses her & then goes & starts cooking as Astrid is rubbing her belly."Hay little one's we'll eat soon daddy's cooking, calm down mummy & daddy love you"
"Dinner's ready!" She stand's up slowly & goes to the table in the kitchen as he serves dinner then gives her a mug of milk & gets a mug of mead for himself then he sits & they eat. "This is lovely Hiccup your chicken legs are the best" He smiles then she feels a kick. "Ow, it seems the baby's agree with me about your chicken legs...because their both kicking & hiccuping"
Hiccup finishes eating. "Honey I better get going now" "Why?" "I need to go to Gobber's to help him with some of the baby furnishes" "Ok" Hiccup smiles then calls Toothless. "Toothless!" Toothless comes & Hiccup scratches his chine.
"Now Toothless I would like you to stay here & look after Astrid ok" Toothless pears. "Good boy" So he kisses Astrid. "I'll be back soon love you" "Love you too babe" Then he leaves.
The forge
when he arrives at the forge he finds Gobber working on one of the cribs. "That looks good Gobber" "Oh hi laddie what you doing here?" "I came to see how the baby furnisher was coming along" "Well it's all coming along fine" "Good but I'm going to do a few things of my own" "Ok" Hiccup comes over to the cribs behind Gobber & starts carving.
"What are you carving in the cribs?" "I'm carving a sentence & a pitcher" "What's the sentence say?" "It says love is the greatest magic always trust your heart" "& the pitcher?... look for yourself" Gobber looks & sees two dragons in a heart. "That's sweet" "Thanks, well I better go home" He is about to leave when he remembers something. "Oh & Gobber... when will all the furnisher be finished?" "About a month" "Ok, that will give me plenty of time to decorate the baby's room" "Night laddie" "Night Gobber" He leaves.
The young Haddock house
1 month later Hiccup is in the baby's room finishing all the baby furnisher then he hears Astrid. "Hiccup!" "Coming honey!" He walks back into their bedroom & find's her sitting on the bed with her back agents the headboard.
"Yes, is everything ok?" She smiles. "Yes silly, just come here" She says patting the bed, so he goes over & sits on the bed. "Ok I'm here, what next?" "Give me your hands" So he gives her his hands, she lifts her night gown up & places his hands on her belly then he feels a few kicks & he smiles. "Oh ha-ha-ha, their kicking much harder now aren't they" "Yes, & they are hungry a lot more too"
He places his head near her belly & kisses it gently. "Are you two being little monkeys again?" The baby's kick. "Oh you sweet little one's, daddy loves you, yes he duos" He kisses Astrid's belly again then he kisses Astrid's lips. "I love you, I'll go & cook dinner" "I love you babe" So he goes down & starts cooking as Astrid naps.
"Yes-yes Toothless, I know" He grabs some fish. "Here you go buddy" He throes the fish for Toothless. "Now Toothless, why don't you go & play with Stormfly" So Toothless goes outside & plays with Stormfly as Hiccup starts cooking. "Now what shall I cook?" He asks himself. "Oh yes, I'll make some yak legs"
Later after he finishes cooking he takes some up with a mug of milk for Astrid & places it all on the bed side table then he kisses her cheek. "Sweaty dinners ready"She wakes up & mumbles. "Hiccup, ow! The baby's are kicking again" He smiles & leans down to her belly & kisses it. "Shh you two, daddy's just boat some food for mummy, so you'll be fed soon" The baby's kick again. "Their, their calm down daddy's here" He kisses her belly as she starts eating. "Mmm, this is nice, thanks Hiccup" The baby's kick & he feels the kicks.
"You two like that don't you?... their your feud, daddy loves you, yes he duos" The baby's kick & start hiccuping. "Oh you two are hungry yes you are" The baby's hiccup again. "Oh that was a big hiccup" The baby's hiccup again. "Oh their you go again you two hiccuping, you two loved the food didn't you? Yes you did" The baby's hiccup again & Astrid puts her plait on the bed side table then kisses him.
"Oh Hiccup, they know you love them lots, you tell them nearly every day, so yes, they know, now kiss me" & he kisses her lips then he gets changed, goes to bed & they both go to sleep as well as the baby's who settle down & go to sleep as well.
