《 ● Third POV 》

" Justin! It's the first day of school, don't be a lazy brat and wake up!" Zeren, a close friend of his had just barged into his room to actually hit his head repeatedly with a pillow.

"I'm up." Justin groans before getting up.

"Also. Did you know? I found my soulmate yesterday?" Zeren continued, scooting closer to Justin on the bed.

"Huh? that was fast.." Justin scratches his cheek before staring at Zeren.

"It just happened. It's not like I can control where or when I would meet him." Zeren reasons out, shrugging his shoulders before throwing a towel to Justin.

7:05 AM

He was actually 5 minutes already late for class and being a junior in highschool, Justin was just really bad at directions that he ended up getting lost in a sea of unfamiliar faces.

"Hey." A voice was heard behind him and as Justin turned around, he took a rather fast-paced blink.

He felt something he rarely feels; awkwardness.

"Oh yeah, hi!" Justin greets enthusiastically. "I think you're lost. Do you need some help?" The guy, who Justin assumes to be a senior, made Justin a little nervous with the way he saw his lips quirking into a small smile.

"Oh. Yes, please." Justin said, holding onto the strap of his backpack a little tighter as the other pursed his lips. "Are you a freshman?" He tilts his head before Justin sputters out an "No! I'm a junior."

"Ah. A transferee?" The other chuckled and Justin noticed the way wrinkles formed on the ends of his eyes.

"Yeah." Justin snickers as well before he saw the other raised his hand, motioning to be followed.

As he walked side by side with the elder, he didn't failed to notice the rapid beating of his heart, his hands getting uncomfortably sweaty and Justin doesn't know why.

Justin wasn't even paying attention to which they went, he was a little too distracted on calming his heart down rather than focusing on the directions.

"And we're finally here!" He exclaims before Justin peeked at the window. Heaving out a sigh in relief, their homeroom teacher was nowhere to be found so he's lucky.

"Thank you." He softly calls out, a sheepish smile on his face as Justin was quick to get inside his classroom not before he heard the elder yell an "Anytime!"

Justin dashed onto the seat next to Zeren, quick to drop his bag and place is hand on his chest and heave as if he had just joined a running spree.

"What's up with you? You're lucky Ms. Xuanyi ain't around yet." Zeren clicked his tongue before Justin whines.

"I got lost, ge. You didn't even accompanied me!" He pouts before Zeren chuckled, reaching under Justin's desk for something before placing it in front of Justin.

"Congrats." Zeren winked before elbowing him.

Justin wished this was all just a dream, wished that he's not exactly seeing the thing he is currently gazing at-

"Was it that boy from the outside?" Zeren whispers, leaning closer to Justin with a grin.

It can't be.

Justin lets out a fake snicker, before landing his own palm on his face.

Wake up, Justin.

"This can't be right." Justin stuttered, blinking aggressively at Zeren.

"Well, sorry pal, it's the same thing that happened to me when I first saw Yanchen." Zeren shrugged his shoulders.

There, in front of him, laid a rosegold journal, seemingly too fragile to touch and it only meant one thing.

He had found his soulmate.

"What are you waiting for? Go on and write something." Zeren urged him before Ms. Xuanyi approached the front of the class.

"Maybe later.." Justin whispered.
