I glanced back down at my left arm for about the hundredth time today. Me, Amren and Mor were on a girls day out. After going to more stores than I thought one could possibly go to one day we sat at a diner that serves blood for Amren. Now we just sat a table and talked about well I'm not really sure because I was staring at my soul streak. It meant almost as much to me as the Illyrian tattoo spiraling up my right arm. When I had first received it I despised the menacing black designs but now they were comforting and beautiful. I grabbed a napkin off the table and began writing with the pen that I kept in my pocket.
Hey, you there?
What's up sweetie
The Sky Genius
Hahaha shouldn't you be enjoying girl's day
Oh yea well I started thinking about your wingspan...
Rofl by the cauldron feyre. when u gonna be home ;)
I practically melted at the winky face.
"Are you alright, Feyre" Mor asked, a brow raised in suspicion though I was sure she already knew what it was about.
"Actually...I think I'm getting a headache." I put my hands on my temples for emphasis, moaning in pain.
Amren looked absolutely amused as she said, "Then we should be heading home then, huh?" Amren's amused face was still not one like what Mor might where but one that at fox would glean at the end of a hunt.
"Yeah" I nodded in agreement, though remembering my false pain, I winced a moment after.
Mor looked at me very skeptically as she stood "Lets go then."
I held to Amren as we winnowed back to the house, my headache being too great a pain for me to do so my self. Or at least that's how Amren put it anyways, causing my arm to be tucked nervously around her waist.
As soon as we landed I heard Rys and Cassian arguing in the kitchen.
"I'm going to go get a drink" I announced, heading in the general direction of the bickering.
"But we just had one" Mor argued, even though we all knew it was without a point. I continued walking, hoping Amren would answer for me.
"I think that the water here might be better. Less bacteria." Amren supplied. I'd have to thank her later. Mor looked like she was about to protest but when we walked into the kitchen and the boys went silent.
"Hey Rhys" Cassian, Mor and Amren took off somewhere, I didn't know. I didn't care, and wasn't paying enough attention to find out, but suddenly to room was empty safe for us.
He stepped towards me "You still thinking about my wingspan, sugarlips?"
"Sugarlips?" I asked, never having heard the supposed term of endearment before.
"Yeah, or would you prefer royal prick?" He asked, as though there were perfectly interchangeable terms.
"Sugarlips is just fine," I kissed him hard on the lips, pushing him towards the counter but he flipped us around so it was me with the hard granite counter against my back instead. I embraced the lack of effort that was put into being beneath him, pushed so gently yet so needily into his hard, muscled body.
"Bedroom." I murmured between kisses.
He grinned and walked towards my bedroom, somewhat casually as if he hadn't just been grinding against me in the kitchen. He didn't even walk me to my room, or even carry me. Illyrian bastard. I got myself the glass of water I lied about before heading towards my room, trailing moments behind him like a puppy. I should make him pout like a puppy, I thought, with no small amount of glee.
"How's that headache" A small figure, that was quickly recognizable as Amren, If only from the miniature stature, stepped in my way.
I blushed deeply, wondering frantically if the lipstick Mor had applied became smeared. "Oh it's terrible" I leaned against the wall feigning dizziness. Amren smiled, offering an arm to help but a shook her off. I didn't exactly need her walking into that bedroom with me or heads really would roll.
"I'm gonna uh go to bed now" I sauntered towards the room.
"Good night, Sugarlips" Amren called down the hall as I entered the room. I froze. She heard us, Well, heard him anyways. I hadn't said anything nearly as embarrassing as he had, not that it mattered since he had said it towards me. If that nickname caught on... the whole family would know of it before morning. With my luck, before I even get a chance to finish I'll hear the words floating through the locked door.
Yes, I was definitely going to make him pout and he would beg on his knees like a disobedient little puppy.
Karma's a bitch, but I was sure to enjoy it.
I continued into my room to saw Rysand, seductively posed, on my bed. I almost burst out laughing as he opened his wings to show the entire span of them. I stepped fully into my room locking the door softly behind me.
I swear I could hear Amrens laugh as the door locked and I walzed over to the bed, hopeful to see what his wingspan represents.
