"What are you doing lieing in bed by this time "

"mom it's past seven in the morning and I had a pretty rough day at work yesterday ".

"I am sorry sweetie but tonight is your engagement party "she says

"oh you mean the arranged engagement party "

"darling don't talk like that I am doing this for you baby".

"puhlezze mom I am not buying that you just want me to get married to elia so you can have access to the Dirken's wealth ".

"don't say that my darling " my mom says patting my back.
I moved away from her touch.

"but it's the truth mom"

"no Eric it's not the truth I just want the best for you I can't just let you keep chasing after that san nova slut".

"don't you dare call her that mom I won't let you insult Adriana like that ".

"whatever Eric you are getting married to Elia and that's final " my mom yells as she walks out of my room.

Arrgh why do my mom have to be so persistant.
I opened my lower drawer and I pulled out a picture. it was a picture of Adriana from 7 years ago, she looked so beautiful and cheerful.

Her bright blue eyes could keep you in a trance.

I miss her so much. I wonder where she could be right now.

"are you busy? " a voice asks, its cal my best friend and my mom's little lap dog he does whatever she wants.

"nah man come in "

"yeah, let me guess my mom asked you to come "

"yeah she said you were not doing so good "

"what's that Eric " cal says pointing to the picture I was holding I tried to hide it but it seems calum's eyes were already locked on it .

"it's nothing bro"

"nah man it looks like...."

"it's Adriana okay" i yelled and walk over to him

"do you mean Adriana as in adriana San nova "

"yeah "

"I heard she left her parent's house "
Carmelo uttered

"yeah I kinda already know that captain obvious"

"then what are you doing with that picture in your hands or do you still?....... Noway...it's impossible "

"yes Carmelo I am still in love with her "I said as I heaved out a heavy sigh.

"then why on earth did you agree to marry Elia in the first place "

"it's my mom you know how persistent she can be sometimes "

"I don't even want to think about what the San novas will do when they see me tonight"

"the San novas and the dirkens are great friends and business partners''

"oka-a-ay "calum's says I can see a confused look on his face, he never really liked this whole business partners stuff.

Ugh finally gonna get some shut eye.

Adriana 's pov
I am standing in front of the Patel's house and I blame myself for coming her. I can't believe that I let Liz force me into this. I can't stop thinking about what Liz said this morning

I am still outside the Patel's house I am still opting on whether to go in or catch a bus ride home.

Oh what am I kidding I am going in part of me still wants to see Eric's face and the other part of me wants to stab him with a fork.

I rang the doorbell and the door was opened by Nora. The first thing I say was "I am sorry " as I can see a little bit of dissapoint in her eyes.

"I asked you if you could come early Lucy and you said yes". At this point I was confused until I remembered I actually registered with Lucy here.

"I am sorry Nora some things came up ".

"it's okay dear go in and take part in the preparations ".she said opening the door wider and gesturing me to come in.

I entered the house and I can see people moving boxes with different decorations in them.
Isabel sure wants to make this party a big hit.
I can't say I am surprised she never really liked me so I guess she must be celebrating a Thank God my son is not with Adriana party .

"Hey you must be Lucy ...i am Bethany but you can call me Beth. " a weird looking girl says.
She is wearing the same uniform I had on me yesterday so she must be a maid.

"nice to meet you beth"i say with a fake smile on my face.

"same here "

"you work here right"i ask just to confirm my theory.

"yeah I guess you must be wondering why you didn't see yesterday "

"Humm I...... "

"well I took an excuse from work cause of some family issues "

Geez I never asked. This Beth sure do talk too much.
