Mr & Mrs. Wolf

Chapter Three

Outside the apartment building, Bigby lays on a now smashed yellow car, slowly he raises his self up and looks towards where The Woodsman lays. 

"Aw... shit," he says to himself. He lowers himself down and closes his eyes Mr. Toad stands next to the broken car grabbing his head in shock and frustration. "Hey, Toad" Bigby groans, he looks towards Toad. "My... car..." Toad says shaken. "Yeah. Gimme a second" Bigby says. Toad crosses his arms over his chest "Oh, no. By all means. Take your time. Make yourself comfortable. Can I get you anything? Pillow perhaps" he says sarcastically. Bigby turns to face Toad again "sorry about the car... we ended up going out the window. Couldn't be avoided" he groans. Toad puts his hands in his pockets and tries his best to not be mad at the sheriff "I can't be mad at you... I called you... and you come to help... I can't be mad... but even when you help... things end up more fucked up than they started." Toad says mad he looks towards The Woodsman, "well, at least you're not fucking dead" he says glaring at him. 

Bigby sits up in distress as Woody walks up to him, glaring at him and growling. Woody grabs onto Bigby's leg and pulls him down the car so he could grab him properly by the shirt. Bigby is then pushed up onto the neighboring bus stop, the glass cracks on impact. Woody then replaces the grip on his shirt up onto his neck, he smashes Bigby's head into the glass and it breaks. Bigby begins fighting back, chocking Woody as well as scratching at his eyes. 

"Quit fucking around," Woody says. As Bigby's thumb rests on Woody's mouth, Woody bites onto it, making Bigby retreat his hand on his face. "I know you're fucking in there. Come on out you fucking dog." Woody squeezes Bigby's neck, trying to get his wolf side out, "I'll put you out of your misery. You fucking mongrel... you ignorant fuck... come on out Wolf." and as he says that Bigby's eyes turn a haunting yellow, but nether Bigby or Woody do anything as Woody grunts in pain and closes his eyes, he moves and behind him stands (Y/N), her eyes the same yellow as Bigby's, and she lets go of the ax she had just panted into his head, Woody stumbles to the floor and lays on his stomach. Behind (Y/N) stands the girl she looks shocked at the whole situation. Bigby and (Y/N) both close their eyes and shake their heads to get rid of the yellow, Bigby and (Y/N) look at each other and smile, the girl, however, walks over to Woody, who tries to crawl away. The girl bends down and looks in his pockets. Bigby turns to (Y/N) "thanks" he says "don't mention it" (Y/N) says, the girl looks towards the happy couple and smiles. "What are you doing?" (Y/N) asks the girl, "I'm just getting what he owes me," she replies "You two alright back there? I mean... both of your eyes... and teeth... you're not really supposed to do that are you?"

Bigby replies for (Y/N) and himself, "not if we can avoid it." The girl continues to look in Woody's until she finds a few gold coins, "great" she says in annoyance, she throws the coins onto Woody in frustration and stands up, she starts kicking Woody. "The guys got an ax in his brain. He's not feeling that" Bigby says his hands stand on his waist. 

"It's more for me. He'll be fine," the girls says calmly. On the floor, Woody moves his arms around "Aisllle kill yew. Yew fuckin' bidch"  The girl lifts her leg and places it onto The Woodsman's ax "Let me help you with that," she presses down on the ax, digging it deeper into his head. 

"Guy's havin' a bad day" (Y/N) says as she and Bigby let her continue to do this. "that makes two of us" she replies, finally she stops and steps of the ax "I guess it's a good thing Fables are hard to kill." She steps away from the three. "Suppose it is," Bigby says staring at Woody, as the girl begins to walk away Bigby and (Y/N) turn to look at her, the girl walks to the stairs of the apartment building and stops, she bends down and picks up her purse. (Y/N) walks over to Woody and begins trying to remove the ax from his head, Bigby looks towards the girl as she leaves, the ax now removed from Woody's head the couple walks towards the girl.  

She places a cigarette between her lips and begins trying to light it, but her lighter fails to create a flame, "shit... just... come on..." as Bigby and (Y/N) reach her (Y/N) nudges Bigby and tilts her head towards the girl, hinting he should do something. Bigby walks up to her and pulls out his lighter, "here..." he says the girl leans forward and the cigarette lights. "Thanks," she says. 

(Y/N) walks up to the two, "Who do you work for, really?" She asks. The girl leans against a wall as she speaks "these lips are sealed... sorry." she looks at the two, "hey, you like my ribbon?" To which Bigby replies, "beautiful".   The girls gaze stays on the floor, "thank you." Bigby looks at her intrigued "I feel like we've met before..." the girl looks at Bigby before looking back at the floor, "We probably have. We all sort of knew each other at one point or another... but things change I guess." "I guess," Bigby says.

(Y/N) looks towards were The Woodsman was laying only to find that he was gone, "shit". Bigby and (Y/N) began walking down the street to find the Woody but the girl grabbed (Y/N)'s wrist "stop. We don't have to make any more of a thing out of it that it already is." (Y/N) responds quickly "he hit you. He has to pay for that." "he's got nothin' to give, Deputy. Besides, you just swung an ax into the guy's head... I'd say we're even." The girl grins. "Maybe we should be arresting you," Bigby says, "I'm not going to be doing this for much longer. So now's your chance." there's silence between the three, the girl lets go of (Y/N)'s hand. "How much was it he owed ya?" (Y/N) questions. "A hundred..." the girl replied, "... and I'm guessing it'd be bad for you to show up empty handed" the girl looks toward (Y/N) and smiles "I'll be fine" (Y/N) nudges Bigby again, he shrugs saying he left he wallet at home, (Y/N) rolls her eyes and reaches in to her pocket to find her small purse, "Let's see, I've got uh... it's twenty, forty... seven---eight. Fifty-eight. It's all I got-- it'll help, right? Take it," the girl looks down at the money and then at (Y/N) "it's okay. I'll be fine. You've done enough. Really." (Y/N) places the money in the girl's hand "just take the money. okay?" The girl grabs the money and puts it down her shirt, "you two got me out of a bad situation back there... thanks." 

"We're still going to need a statement" Bigby speaks up, "I have to go drop off... what I have," the girl says shyly, "meet us back at our office then" (Y/N) suggests. The girl looks at the two "it's a little late for an office visit, Deputy. I'll swing by your apartment", Bigby looks at the girl puzzled, "how do you know where we..." he is cut off by the girl "you two live in the smallest apartment in the The Woodlands. Everyone knows that. Like how everyone knows you're moving too" 

"Good to know," Bigby says, "you should probably get cleaned up. You look like shit, and I don't use that term likely" the girl says "yeah, Hun, you do" (Y/N) agrees with the girl. The girl moves closer to Bigby and touches one of his bruises "some of these look pretty bad, that's going to leave a mark, or maybe not," (Y/N) growls again annoyed she turns to Bigby, "I'm going to head home, unpack the last of the boxes," she kisses Bigby's check, "bye sweetheart, I'll see you at home," Bigby replies.

As soon as (Y/N) is gone the girl speaks to Bigby, "hey... I need to tell you something." Bigby replies immediately, "what is it?" The girl moves up to Bigby and leans up so she can whisper in his ear, "you're not as bad as everyone says you are." She kisses his cheek, opposite to the one (Y/N) kissed, she then proceeds to walk down the street, raising her hand she says her final words to Bigby, "I'll see you around... Wolf"
