Small Rays Of Sun

This road has lead me nowhere

This messy road called life.

With darkened dreary skies,

In the eye of the storm.

With lightning clouds stirring,

And recurring every day.

And it never goes away.

I can never see the sun.

It must be gone forever...

It's never within my reach.

I wake to storming clouds,

With cracks across the sky.

I try to find the sun.

Between the cracks of my life.

Yet it always slips from sight.

Until the sun is within sight.

I'll keep up my fight.

Once I reach the Mountain

My problems will fall away.

Where the sun will make way,

And save my day.

Mom and I will stay all day.

Everyday stormy clouds subside further away.

Leaving the sky occupied by sun.

Leaving room for only sun

Giving me the warmth,

I feel when I'm with you.

For now I raise my head

As I find small rays of sun.
