"Look what the cat dragged in, the slut is back."

"Still up to your childish remarks Josh?" I said while taking in his face, that hasn't changed since I last saw him.

He was tall, i'll give him that.

At 5'11", Josh has dull blue eyes, the worst haircut imaginable, bushy eyebrows, a long chin, and an arrogant look that I'm pretty sure has never left him.

"With Dennis not here to think and control everything you do, how are you surviving?" I said sarcastically.

"I've never needed him, but with you back my life's a lot better now."

"I'm older, smarter, and way more gorgeous to be intimidated by you. Besides, i'll be out of here soon."

Josh grabbed my arm, "Listen up you whore-"

"Josh Josh is it true? Is Makenna back? is she really-" the most ear-piercing shriek erupted from Anna's small frame. "Ken Ken Ken, i've missed you so much. Don't ever leave me behind again. Pinky swear?"

Looking at Anna I now feel dreadful for leaving her, but we wouldn't have survived so long out there.

Anna's big brown eyes were streaming tears, lips quivering, face flushed, and her hair mess. she truly missed me.

I picked up Anna, took her to our room, then calmed her down by talking. When it was nearing 10 PM, I told Anna to get ready for bed and we'll talk more in the morning.

I'm in the bathroom right now crying my eyes out. It might have been just a fantasy, but I honestly thought I could run and not be caught. A foolish dream.

Wiping my face, I stepped out of the bathroom and bumped into Josh. With a smirk on his face, Josh pushed me back into the bathroom and pressed me against the wall.

"What the-" His lips were suddenly mine, forcing them open. "Get off me!" I said while trying to get away.

"Just enjoy," said Josh while trying to take off my top.

So I attacked him. Clawing, biting, kicking, and pushing, but to no avail.

Four knocks on the door and the sound of a males voice is what finally got him off.

Stepping back, I slapped Josh as hard as I could and said "never do that again. All I got a response was a "I'll be back" and a laugh in my face. Josh opened the door and left, while Billy was walking in.

"Are you okay? why are you on the floor?" Billy questioned slowly.

"I'm fine," I said while getting up. Billy's eyes were hesitant, not fully believing, but going along with it anyway. "Okay then... Dude your back."

This was our usual greeting, starting the sentence with dude.

"Yeah"

Billy is about the average height for a 13-year-old, a bit tan, brown shortcut hair, and brown eyes. We're not the closest of people, but at least we're honest.

"Dude, you look like crap."

"I know."

"Tracy said to go to her before you go to your room. She's in the living room."

"Okay."

"I hear you're being adopted?" that sounded more like a question.

"Yep."

"Cool... I'll see you in the morning. 'Night"

"'Night."

I made my way down to the living room to find what Tracy had wanted. "Good your here. Chris and I know longer need you, so we are letting you meet with Gwen tomorrow at 1:15 to see if she wants you. You're welcome, dismissed." Without a word I walked back upstairs.
