GILBERT RESIDENCE
Ally looked at herself in the mirror, the dark circles were clear under her eyes. She couldn't remember the last time that she actually slept. She groaned when Aunt Jenna called out to her to inform her that it was time for school. School was normally easy for her but now because of the crap summer they had school was easily going to become something that she didn't love so much because people ask the same questions like "are you okay" "Have you gotten any sleep". the answer to both questions was no but she couldn't tell people that so a simple "yes" or "I'm fine" makes someone happy and she'll do that for them.
She decided on no makeup today, as she walked down the stairs, her tiredness rose every time she took a step but she didn't show it. She went straight into the kitchen to see Jenna's head in the fridge and Elena standing by the counter.
"Toast. I can make Toast" Aunt Jenna spoke up sticking her head out of the fridge, Toast did sound quite nice at that moment for Ally but she just walked over to the coffee machine
"Toast sounds really nice right now" Jenna nodded quickly moving towards the toaster popping 2 pieces in for Ally.
" It's all about the coffee, Aunt Jenna" she smiled at Ally, but Ally wasn't in the mood, she can lie to everyone else sayings shes fine but not her twin sister
"Is there coffee" Jeremy entered the room, would have made Ally jump then smile at the boy but no one smiled or jumped everyone just stayed quiet as the tv blocked silence from happening
"Your first day of school and I'm totally unprepared." Ally could tell Aunt Jenna wasn't good at all this parenting stuff but she was doing well at it "Lunch money?" she spoke as she held green notes in her hand " I'm good" Jeremy and Ally both scabbed the money out from Jenna's hand, the two were very much alike except Ally didn't get high all the time like him.
Ally watched in amusement as Jenna walked towards her bag " Anything else? A number two pencil? What am I missing?" Ally smirked, she knew exactly what but she wanted to wait a bit longer until Elena spoke up.
" Don't you have a big presentation today?"
" I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at...now. Crap!" Ally chuckled as she quickly grabbed a coffee cup, going towards the coffee machine again, quickly filling up her cup and leaning against the counter looking at Aunt Jenna quickly pulling her hair out and looking through her bag.
" Then go. We'll be fine." She was only speaking for herself, Ally rolled her eyes, and went to take a sip of her coffee until Jeremy took it out of her hands, she smacked his arm with a smirk as he chuckled walking away. They had that connection, Elena just didn't get it, maybe it was because she was always bossing the two around who knows but it never really bother Ally that Elena was left out.
