After we got home I turned to Austin. I just wanted to yell at him. He started texting on his phone again and I crossed my arms. "Hey, I'm right here," I said. He put his phone away and smiled at me but I frowned at him. "It was interesting." I said. He nod his head. "I had fun," he replied.
After a while of talking he leaned in and kissed my cheek. I blushed slightly but that was it. He turned around and walked back in his house. I walk home with my arms crossed. I just wanted to start the entire date over. That's when I decided to call him.
"Hey," he answered.
"Hey," I said, "Austin, no offense but that date was horrible. Can we do it again? Like, start over?" I ask.
I heard him sigh into the phone. "Alright," he answered. He then hung up.
The next day I got ready for school and I bumped into Austin. He apologized for everything I told him that everything was fine.
Tonight we are going to have our second date. I wear a long black dress with silver rhinestones. I decide to put on black make up to match my outfit and I curled my hair with light curls. At 8:30 I hear a knock at the door. He's right on time!
Austin is wearing a tux and his hair is the same, though I do think that he's wearing a little foundation.
He grab my hand and he kisses the top of it, but I lean in and kiss his cheek. I swear I saw him blush slightly. I smile at him and we go to his car. He let's me get in the passenger seat he gets in the driver's seat.
"You look beautiful," he tells me. I smile at him.
"You too. You look beautiful too," I chuckle after I say that.
We go to a steakhouse and I order the "moonshine steak." Austin orders the same thing and I start eating quickly. I look at him.
"What do you want to do after this?" I ask.
He shrugs. "Maybe we should just go back to my house and watch a movie." He tells me. I nod my head and we both agree.
After he pays we go back to his house. We go up to his room and I change into his pajamas. I wash the make up off of my face and I lay on the bed. He lays next to me and we get under the covers. We decide to watch a Titanic and I imaged what it would be like. For someone to risk his life for me over and over again but still dies. I wonder if Austin would do that.
I cuddle up against him as we watch it. His heart is beating crazy fast. I rest my head on his chest and I start falling asleep. The next morning I wake up and I look him, he's still sleeping. I lean in and kiss him softly. He wakes up and smile at me, talking in a tired voice.
"Hi," he said. I tangled my fingers in his hair and I bit my lip.
"Hi," I replied. I leaned in and kissed him one more time. Then I got up and I yawned. I brushed teeth. I already had a toothbrush there because I've spent the night at his house multiple times. I sat on his bed and asked if I can use his computer. He nodded his head and I opened it. I asked him what his password was and he said:
iLoveAlly
I smiled at him and I typed it in, It worked but then my alarm on my phone went off. I sigh. "I have to go to work."
I kissed him softly and then stood up. I got home and changed into my work clothes. Today we are getting a new employee and I have to train him. I didn't know his name yet, and I didn't know anything about him. If anything he could be a creep.
I drove to Sonic Boom and I parked into the drive way. I got out of the car and I went to my duty.
At about 11:00 this tall guy wearing a jacket and a shirt and some jeans with blonde hair and blue eyes came into the store. I look at him.
"How can I help you?" I ask him.
"I'm here to start the job," he tells me, "I'm Dylan. The new employee."
I smile at him. He was cute in a nerdy way. I taght him everything to know about the instruments. Where they came from, when they were made, who were they made by. After that me and him were alone in the store, just cleaning up.
He told me where he was from, how old he was, and where he lived.
He was from Denver, Colorado. He was 17 years old, my age. He lived down the street in a big blue house, the same house that I drive by every single day.
Dylan was interesting. He was weird. He didn't act like he was all that like Austin sometimes does. But I knew that he was tough. He didn't seem like he was scared of anything. He told me that once he jumped into a freezing cold lake back in Denver just to save his younger sibling, so he would do anything to protect his family.
At the end of day I went back to Austin's house. He told me that he couldn't talk to me right now. He said that I disgusted him.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"I heard you got a new employee at work today," he replied.
"Yes, and?" I asked him.
He sighed as if he was mad at me. "We're dating and all the girls think that he's hot. Just remember that."
He didn't sound like himself. He sounded that he was threatening me. I just nodded and went back home. Who was that? That definitely wasn't Austin.
That wasn't the Austin that I've been friends with for five years.
