We walk down the hallway in silence.
I make no attempt at any conversation because I know it's my fault we are not talking in the first place. He reminds me of him. Something I really don't want to think about. Their hand gestures, their piercing eyes, it's too much to handle.
It's better that I make my escape quick, I only bring death and suffering. I learned that lesson at a young age.
"To love is to destroy to be loved is to be destroyed." Morbid but true. Sadly, if I escape it won't be anytime soon. I have to a mission to complete and if I don't Lux will be destroyed.
"I am going to introduce you to the kingdom as Queen. What's your name?" Damien asks.
I can't tell who I am yet.
"Sage" I reply quietly.
"Sage?" He questions rolling the name off his tongue, and it brings shivers to my spine.
"Yes. Sage."
