That One Guy
There's always going to be that one guy, who will turn your world upside down, make your stomach lurch in a foreign way, make your heart beat so fast you're afraid it's going to jump out of your ribcage, makes you blush, makes you stay up all night thinking about him. There's always going to be that one guy in every girl's world, but that guy doesn't often end up linking his last name on yours; that guy doesn't often end up to be the face you see in the morning you wake up; that guy doesn't often end up being the one who joins you at the altar, oftentimes, that one guy just ends up being on your memories, a bittersweet one. But that's okay, it's okay. You're okay. Because he's not the one you want to spend the rest of your life with anyway. He made your stomach lurch, he turned your world upside down, he made your heart skip a beat, he made you feel almost everything at some point in your life; but that doesn't mean that that guy is already the one. He just prepared you for the best man, the best guy, and he just made your teenage years a little brighter; a little colorful that's why it's okay. Because you learned a lot, he taught you things, he taught you how to like someone so much it makes every fiber of your being shiver. There's always going to be that one guy in every girl's memories, and just because he was in her memories doesn't mean that he'll also stay also in her heart forever.
