The most cliche line: You never grow old if you never lose friends. It's true at some point.
Lately, I've been realizing a whole LOT of things in my life. I'm learning, everyday, both academically and 'real-life' speaking. Turning eighteen had taught me about a lot of things, helped me dig deeper into every angle (though still not that deep; I'm still a work on progress). Being nineteen opened my eyes to a realization that:
If somebody starts to show you that you mean nothing to them by being able to just drop you off without any explanations, then let them be.
It's not your problem and you shouldn't waste time trying to figure out what went wrong, where you went wrong, where the other party involved went wrong.
If somebody can just drop you off in a blink of an eye, then never be afraid of taking that parachute out of their lives.
Afterall, it's your responsibility to yourself to always keep your sanity in check and your heart in good condition.
I'm NOT saying that you should just drop people off, what I'm pointing out here is, you should not feel the need to try to hold on to people who doesn't want your grip anymore.
Don't hold grudges though. Just let them be, let life do what it's intended to do.
Do not stress yourself out on everything. You're continuously growing, so choose to grow with people who can value your worth. The people who want to share everything with you, both the good and the bad, the sunshine and the rain. Grow with people who makes your heart pound so loud and fast, your stomach aches from laughing so loud, and with people who'd shed a tear or two, people who'd spend even the worst moments with you. Grow with people who makes you proud, who becomes proud with every milestones and achievements that you're accomplishing.
I'm telling you, once you stop caring about what other people think of you, and once you stop trying to make your friends count as big as the whole nation, you'll find those truly genuine people whom you could share all the best and the good and the not-so-good memories together.
Don't chase people who doesn't deserve you.
Take care of yourself 😊💖😘
